Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome has hit Days of our Lives' Salem with a bang, and the soap's new teen characters will all be hitting the canvas this fall.
TV Insider revealed a first-look photo of the group, which includes newcomer James Lastovic, who will be appearing as Patch [Stephen Nichols] and Kayla's [Mary Beth Evans] son, Joey, on Monday, August 28; Vivian Jovanni and Jonathan McClendon, who will appear as Hope's [Kristian Alfonso] daughter, Ciara Brady, and Aiden's [Daniel Cosgrove] son, Chase Jennings, respectively on Friday, October 30; Kyler Pettis, who will appear as Abe's [James Reynolds] autistic son, Theo Carver, on Tuesday, November 3; and Olivia Keegan, who will appear as Shawn [Brandon Beemer] and Belle's [Martha Madison] daughter, Claire, on Wednesday, November 25.
"Young people are the lifeblood of any soap -- especially ours as we head toward our 50th anniversary in November," says the soap's executive producer, Ken Corday. "By aging these children into young adults, we're making them more relatable to our audience and more dramatically exciting. These are not ancillary characters, but young leads. None of them will be a goody two-shoes. Each is somewhat flawed."
