Days of our Lives' Alison Sweeney has 21 years of experience as Salem's beloved bad girl Sami Brady, but that hasn't stopped the actress, who returned to the set this week, from feeling extremely nervous about being back in the daytime game.
The actress admits that it's "very weird" to come out of DAYS retirement, especially following her recent experience with filming movies, like the recently released high-rated Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' Murder She Baked. "Doing movies we do like eight pages a day, and then I have to go back and do like 50 pages in a day," she told People magazine shortly before returning to the show that made her famous. "Oh my gosh. I said to the producer, 'You know I'm really out of practice, right? Just so you're aware it's a really long time since I've memorized anything like that.' I'm freaking out a little but am very excited to see my friends and be family again."
As for what fans can expect from the actress' return this fall, she teases that perhaps a very Sami-like temper tantrum could be around the corner. “I think I can say that it's definitely an emotional homecoming and with family there is always going to be drama," she says. "Let me just say that it's been over a year since I've had a tantrum or slapped anybody so I'm out of practice; I might need a refresher!”
