Days of our Lives' 50th anniversary is still half a year away, but it's already shaping up to be quite spectacular. Not only will former stars Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady) and Stephen Nichols (ex-Steve “Patch” Johnson) be returning the canvas, but so will Peter Reckell (Bo Brady). And the latter tells Soap Central his alter ego's reappearance should be quite fun for fans.
“I can't say exactly [what's coming up], because the show writes so far in advance, but the writers have promised an ultimate hero moment,” Reckell teases of Bo's big blast from the past. “I asked, ‘Will there be a motorcycle involved?!'”
Jokes aside, fans are wondering if Bo's not-so-savory behavior will be explained once he returns. Will the writers address why he left Hope (Kristian Alfonso) in the dust and why he chose to stay away from Salem for so long? “Yes, I'm hoping,” the actor says. “It's a difficult thing, apparently, because I'm not really clear what happened over the past three years, but the writers seem to have a real handle on it, and all of those loose ends, they'll be able to tie up.”
Look for Reckell, who originated the character of Bo back in 1983, to appear in DAYS' Salem later this fall.
