Days of our Lives alum Lisa Rinna will take the stage for a unique new reality series that challenges celebrities to perform as well-known singers. Pop star Debbie Gibson will serve as a judge on the series.
ABC has announced the pickup of a new talent/variety competition called Sing Your Face Off
that follows a group of celebrities as they are transformed and trained to perform as a legendary musical icon.
The celebrities tapped for the inaugural edition include Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, Toronto Raptor Landry Fields, comedian Jon Lovitz, Disney Channel star China Anne McClain, and Days of our Lives alum Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed
From the hours in the makeup chair to the days spent with choreographers and vocal coaches, each show will feature the complete transformation -- not just physical. The celebrities will embody everything about the assigned icon: their walk, their talk, and their distinguishing mannerisms. It will all lead up to live performances in front of a studio audience.
Viewers will get the chance to see each of the celebrities portray multiple musical performers during the series. Some of the musicians that the celebrities will have to embody include Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Pitbull, Britney Spears, and Tina Turner.
Since the series is a competition, that means that there will have to be a panel of judges. Singer/songwriter Debbie Gibson and comedian/impressionist Darrell Hammond will serve as the primary judges on Sing Your Face Off
. They'll be joined each week by at least one guest judge. The current guest judge lineup includes Tom Arnold, Carmen Electra, David Alan Grier, RuPaul, Richard Simmons, and Carnie Wilson.
Sing Your Face Off
is based on the global hit Your Face Sounds Familiar
