DAYS staying put in Burbank

Days of our Lives will not be moving to a new studio, according to the show's executive producer. DAYS has taped at NBC's lot in Burbank, California, for most of its 47-year history.

For several months, there has been rampant speculation that Days of our Lives might be booted out of its home at NBC studios in Burbank, California. The show will not be moving, according to executive producer Ken Corday.

Corday made the announcement that DAYS would be staying put during the show's 12,000th episode celebration.

It had been widely speculated that production of DAYS would move from Burbank to the Andrita Studios in Glendale as a cost-cutting measure. ABC moved production of All My Children from New York to the Andrita Studios in 2010 as a way to save money.

DAYS has been taped at NBC's Burbank lot for the majority of its 47-year history. In 1965, the show began production in a single studio. Since 1989, it has occupied Studios 2 and 4.
