John Callahan returning to DAYS

John Callahan (Dr. Baker) is back at work on Days of our Lives. Callahan will reprise the role of the dastardly physician, Dr. Baker, who helped Nicole swap Sami and Mia's babies. Insiders hint, however, that Dr. Baker might have a totally different series of interactions in his next go around in Salem.


Though the show is keeping quiet about what brings Callahan's alter ego back to the show, the stint is expected to be a short-term run.


Callahan is no stranger to daytime television -- or Days of our Lives, for that matter. Despite his numerous soaps roles, Callahan may be best-known for his 13-year run on ABC's All My Children. From 1992 to 2005, Callahan portrayed Edmund Grey, the cast-aside son resulting from a Hungarian royal's affair with his housekeeper.


Callahan has also appeared on General Hospital, Santa Barbara, and Falcon Crest. He also made an earlier appearance on Days of our Lives, appearing in 1989 as Tyler Malone.
