Another B&B Teen Dropped to Recurring

At a time when most soaps are actively trying to lure in a younger audience, The Bold and the Beautiful has dropped another teen star from its roster. Young star Drew Tyler Bell (Thomas Forrester) has been downgraded to recurring status.

According to rumors, Bell was dropped from contract status because the show currently has no on-screen love interests for his character. Both of Thomas' previous romances - Amber and Caitlin - are no longer part of the show's canvas.

The show is believed to be working to cast a love interest for Thomas in the near future. Exactly when, however, is not known.

Meanwhile, Bell's on-screen twin sisters, Phoebe and Steffy Forrester, are in the process of being recast. As previously reported by Soap Central, Addison and Alex Hoover have been let go.

Bell, who is of no relation to B&B's head writer/executive producer Bradley Bell, joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in January 2004.
