Jacob Young
Emmy winner Jacob Young is no stranger to daytime television. Jacob portrayed Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful during which time he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor. He later joined the cast of General Hospital, where he played Lucky Spencer and earned a Daytime Emmy award in 2002.
Growing up in Washington State, Jacob began to showcase his talent in leading roles of stage productions of
Guys and Dolls,
Grease,
Wizard of Oz, and
Our Town. He has performed in many ABC Daytime benefits in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. On May 9, 2006 he made his Broadway debut in Disney's
Beauty and the Beast, playing the role of Lumière, the candlestick.
Young's talents extend beyond television, film and stage. His self-titled CD,
Jacob Young, was released in 2001.
In his spare time, Jacob can be found doing just about anything athletic, from skateboarding to surfing, and also pursues another passion-singing.
