Brooke is in the living room when Taylor comes in. Brooke asks if she can take Taylor anywhere and suggests that if Taylor is going to reopen her practice now might be a good time to look for office space. Taylor replies that she's not sure when she'll start seeing patients again but that there is some research that she wants to do. Taylor is curious what kind of woman can sleep with her husband's brother the day after she thinks her husband has died. Brooke tells Taylor that she thought that she had said last night that she wasn't going to get into this. Taylor says that what she was that she felt comfortable with whatever decision Ridge made but that doesn't mean that she is going to condone the things that Brooke has done. Brooke starts to leave but stops when Taylor says that she's studied all kinds of sexual disorders but this is the first time she's come across this particular pathology. Taylor sarcastically asks Brooke if she can shed some light on this for her -- how is that, thinking that her husband has died, that she could become aroused by his brother. She wasn't aroused, Brooke says. Taylor then asks if Nick is to blame then -- is he some sort of deranged sexual predator? Brooke tells Taylor that no, Nick is not deranged and no one is to blame. Taylor tells Brooke that that is what bothers her; that no matter what Brooke does or who she hurts no one is ever to blame - especially Brooke. Taylor says she would really like a reasonable explanation for this and asks Brooke to tell her how this whole thing happened.
Bridget comes in to Eric's office and tells him good morning. Eric says it's nice to know someone still loves him and proceeds to tell Bridget about having to turn Thomas down on his request to start designing for Forrester. They discuss her wedding to Nick and Eric is happy that Bridget has found someone.
Stephanie has summoned Nick to her house. He arrives and is a little wary and tells Stephanie he wonders why he feels like he's entering the lions den. She says she doesn't know , that she asked him over to discuss him using their house for the wedding. Nick thought that since she and Bridget had had a little tiff that the offer of their house would not be an option. Stephanie says that they've had tiffs before and that what they disagree about right now is Brooke's place in Ridge's life but they are all entitled to their opinions. Nick understands that Stephanie is taking Taylor's side.
At Spectra, Clarke is warning Sally about approaching Thomas to design for Spectra. He doesn't think it's a good idea. Sally thinks it's a fantastic idea. Clarke thinks they need a real designer, not just someone with the Forrester name. Thomas comes in and Sally tells him that she needs something and he is the only person she could think of that could help her. Sally says that she needs his advice on who would be a good designer to take Amber's place. Thomas recommends himself.
Back at Forrester Creations, Eric and Bridget are discussing plans for the wedding. Bridget tells him that Nick is ready to move ahead but that she wants to wait until things calm down so that it's a joyous day and not filled with tension. She tells him about Jackie giving them a hard time but that she trusts Nick completely. She's more worried about Stephanie and her trying to influence Ridge's decision regarding Taylor and Brooke. Bridget asks Eric to tell Stephanie to stay out of it but they both know that she won't and that she will force everyone to take sides.
Nick is telling Stephanie that he doesn't want to get in the middle of this so he's going to leave. He tells Stephanie that he just wants Brooke to be happy but the choice is up to Ridge - not either of them. Stephanie thinks Taylor is the obvious choice and Nick thinks Brooke is. Stephanie tells Nick that Jackie seems to think that he would be better off if Brooke were available and asks him if that's true. Nick tells Stephanie that he's marrying Bridget and that his feelings for her or her mother are none of Stephanie's business. She agrees but tells him to be sure he's marrying the right woman before he gets married. Nick reminds her of RJ and what an important factor that is in Ridge's decision. Stephanie still thinks that Brooke is going to be in for a big disappointment and that she will need Nick when that happens. Nick says he will be there for Brooke as a friend if she needs him. Stephanie thinks Brooke will come looking for more than friendship when Ridge dumps her but Nick says she's wrong.
Brooke doesn't see any reason to go through this all again with Taylor. Taylor thinks there is a good reason because she's trying to understand how Brooke could hurt a man that she says she loves. Brooke tells her that Ridge has forgiven her and that's all that matters. They debate further on Brooke's suitability as a role model to the children and the mistakes that Brooke has made. Brooke wishes that those things had never happened but they did and she's spent a long time living with that guilt. Brooke tells her that there are also things that she's done that she is proud of and that Ridge is proud of her too. Taylor says that she doesn't understand how Brooke could have done that to Bridget - how does she expect Bridget to deal with it and not be affected. Bridget comes in and tells her that she's asking the wrong person. Bridget can tell her, herself, how she deals with it. Bridget says she doesn't deny that what happened with Brooke and Deacon nearly destroyed her relationship with her Mom but that she has come to an understanding of faith and family and forgiveness. She knows that Brooke loves her and none of her actions were ever intended to hurt her and that what could have destroyed them instead strengthened the bond between them. Taylor also questions Bridget's involvement with Nick and Bridget tells her that she is confident in Nick's love for her.
At home, Stephanie debated with Nick over who Ridge will choose Taylor or Brooke. Stephanie was convinced that Ridge would choose Taylor. Nick could not believe that any man could leave Brooke. Stephanie advised Nick that he could help Brooke by not encouraging her to hold onto Ridge. In that way, Brooke could leave with dignity, since Ridge will choose Taylor.
Taylor advised Brooke and Bridget that any other daughter would have cut all of her ties with Brooke after the betrayal with Deacon. Taylor told Brooke point blank that she is not comfortable with Brooke bringing up her children. Taylor explained that although her children love Brooke and think she is cool, the children need someone who is a role model. Taylor was also concerned about Brooke's history of hurting the people that she loves. Brooke objected vehemently that she would ever hurt Taylor's children. Taylor was blunt and finally told Brooke that she wants her house and her husband back!
At Forrester Creations, Eric told Jackie not to interfere with Nick and Bridget's relationship by predicting that Nick would return to Brooke if she were available. Eric was furious with Jackie for planting the idea in Bridget and Nick's minds. Eric could not believe that Nick would leave Bridget or that Brooke would hurt her daughter a second time.
Taylor arrived at Stephanie's. Taylor was surprised and intrigued to meet Nick. Stephanie told Taylor that Nick and Brooke are good friends. Stephanie revealed that she had asked Nick to speak to Brooke about leaving Ridge with dignity-so Ridge can return to Taylor.
Nick feels uncomfortable being dragged into Ridge's problems. Stephanie responds that Ridge and Brooke's relationship has been messy, and a life with Taylor would be something far more special. Nick doesn't like the fact Stephanie and Taylor are ganging up on Brooke. Stephanie leaves, and Nick tells Taylor that she is the one who has to make a decision regarding the situation, and that Brooke should be able to stay since she is married to Ridge. Thomas and Gaby catch up on things at the Insomnia, and discuss how excited they are to be attending the same college in the fall. Thomas also tells Gaby about the contract Sally offered him. Gaby kisses him on the cheek and wishes him good luck with his decision. Thorne is mad that Sally offered Thomas a job without conferring with him first. Later, Thomas goes to Spectra and announces that he would like to accept the position as a designer.
Nick tells Taylor that Hope and RJ changed him forever. The way he looks at things is completely different now. He tells Taylor that her children are older and can understand the complexities of the situation, but RJ and Hope don't understand what is happening to their parents. Taylor says that as a psychiatrist, she knows that little children adjust to divorce far better than older children. Ridge firmly believes that he and Brooke belong with each other raising their children together. Taylor says, you don't think that Ridge will pick me? Nick says that Brooke was a good Mother to all the children in her absence, she loves them all and they love her. Taylor asks him if he feels that way, because he is a friend of hers? "Yes," says Nick, because you believe that Brooke is being a good Mother, "yes," says Nick again because you love her? Taylor tells Nick that it isn't Ridge that needs to make a choice, it is you. Taylor tells him that Brooke is going to need someone who will love her and the children. Nick leaves.
Caitlin and Thomas sit at the restaurant, and tells him that she thinks it is wonderful that he got his Mother back. She understands that he needed the time to become reacquainted with her. He says that he stopped calling her because he just doesn't see it happening, for the two of them. She tells him that they just need the time to reconnect. He tells her that he thinks they are better off just being friends. Caitlin tells him that he is doing this because she acted so jealous, and he says that, that is not the reason. Thomas says that he hoped they could just go back to the way it used to be between them but it didn't. Caitlin wants to know if it is because of Gaby? He doesn't answer her directly but tells her that he wants to be a good friend. He goes to the coffee bar for drinks for them. Gaby comes in and approaches Caitlin. She can see that Caitlin has been crying, but says nothing. Caitlin tells her that Thomas and her have broken up. Gaby tells her how sorry she is, she didn't know about it. Caitlin tells her that it is so obvious that Thomas likes her. They hardly ever see each other anymore because he is usually with you. She admits to having made a mistake with Thomas, and tells Gaby to be good to him, because Thomas is a really good guy. She leaves Gaby sitting at the table and takes leave. Thomas returns to the table expecting to find Caitlin there, and is surprised to see Gaby. Gaby tells him that Caitlin just left. Thomas tells Gaby that he had to be honest with Caitlin. Gaby says that Caitlin is blaming her, was she right? He looks at her and says that the more time he spent with her, and the better he got to know her, the more he started to care. Each of them believe that they simply gravitated toward each other because of their parents.
Brooke and Bridget are deep in conversation. Bridget tells her that Stephanie called Nick and Taylor. She tells Bridget that Stephanie is using everything she can to bring Ridge and Taylor back together. Brooke tells Bridget that when Taylor returned, she did everything to be supportive of her return. Now she is being put on the defensive, and she hates it. Brooke tells Bridget that she and Nick should just elope. She knows that Bridget wants the whole family to be there, but, under the circumstances, it may never happen.
Later, Nick pays Brooke a visit. He tells Brooke that Taylor wants a life with Ridge and Stephanie supports it. He tells her that they are not as concerned about Taylor ending up with Ridge as they are about who he ends up with, Bridget or her. Bridget looks at him with a shocked look on her face.
Massimo offers Bridget the use of his Yacht for her wedding, and thinks she and Nick should get married ASAP. Taylor tells Stephanie that she feels Nick cares more for Brooke then he may let on. Taylor thinks Bridget should wait to marry Nick. Stephanie agrees. Later, Stephanie visits Bridget and tries to convince her to slow down and put things in perspective, and that marrying Nick could be a huge mistake. After Stephanie then tells Bridget that Nick still loves Brooke, Bridget tells Stephanie to go to hell. Brooke is shocked to learn from Nick that Stephanie and Taylor actually think she'll end up with him. Nick tells Brooke that he is definitely committed to Bridget, and Brooke promises that she'll never interfere with their relationship. Nick tells Brooke that he believes Ridge will choose her because of the children and how successful she is. Brooke thanks Nick for believing in her.
