At Forrester Creations, Brooke informed Eric and Stephanie that she informed Thorne that Ridge gave an ultimatum to Nick to not carry the Spectra Couture line in the Jackie M. Boutiques. Ridge had threatened Nick that if he did carry the Spectra line, Ridge would pull the Forrester Creation line out of all of the Jackie M. Boutiques. Eric and Stephanie agreed that Ridge had no authority to issue any ultimatum to Nick. Brooke explained that Ridge is trying to hurt Thorne out of revenge for overhearing Eric after the showing tell Thorne that he is his only son. Brooke tried to explain how hurt Ridge was by what he overheard.

Meanwhile, Thorne paid Nick a visit to discuss the ultimatum. Nick agreed that if the ultimatum were lifted, he would carry the Spectra line.

At the Café Rouse, Rick told Caitlin that while he is in Milan for an undetermined amount of time, he wants her to have a normal teenage life. He told Caitlin that he does not want her to lose her teenage years tied up in a relationship with him as he had been tied up with Amber when he was a teenager. Caitlin was very upset when Rick said he is not putting his life on hold while he will be in Milan and he does not want Caitlin to either. Caitlin was heartbroken and left the restaurant.

Back at Forrester Creations, Thorne appealed to Eric, Stephanie and Brooke to support him at Spectra and to allow the Spectra line to be sold in the Jackie M. Boutiques.

In Eric's office, Thorne tells his family how upset he is that Ridge is trying to ruin Thorne's chances at a successful collection. Against Brooke's wishes, Stephanie tells Thorne that Ridge overheard Eric and Stephanie telling Thorne that Thorne was their only son. Brooke says they don't really know if that is the reason that Ridge is trying to hurt Spectra. Thorne asks Brooke to overrule Ridge, since she is majority stock holder and allow Forrester to share shelf space with Spectra.

Thomas comes to Stephanie's looking for Amber, but no one is home. Rick arrives looking for Eric, to say goodbye before his flight to Milan. Rick tells Thomas that he and Caitlin are taking a break from their relationship while Rick is away. Thomas is upset with Rick for hurting Caitlin. Rick tells Thomas that he is not old enough to understand.

In her room, Caitlin remembers how Rick broke things off with her. She is crying when Hector comes in. He comforts his daughter and tells her that Rick won't ever find anyone as beautiful on the inside as Caitlin. Samantha pauses in the hallway outside of the room and listens as Caitlin wonders if she'll ever have the strong relationship that Hector and Samantha have. After Hector leaves, Caitlin gets a phone call from Thomas, who tells her that he is there for her if she needs a friend.

Thorne and Darla stop by to see Brooke at home. They thank her for agreeing to plead Spectra's case to Ridge. Brooke reminds them that she hasn't promised or agreed to anything. Thorne is sure that she will make the right choice. Ridge calls to tell Brooke he is on his way home from the airport. Thorne and Darla leave. Ridge arrives with gifts and kisses for RJ and Brooke. He unwinds on the couch and tells Brooke about all the damage control he did in Europe. All the European distributors wanted to know if Thorne had really stolen Forrester's designs and why Forrester didn't have a fall showing. Ridge is glad that he won't have to share shelf space with Spectra's designs. Brooke questions why he is forcing Nick to choice between Forrester and Spectra at Jackie M. Ridge tells her it is all just good business decision, but Brooke feels it is all more personal. She gently encourages him to reconsider his stance on Spectra. Ridge tells her that between him and her, they have the majority of stock in Forrester. He asks her to support his choice, but Brooke says no.

Thomas bring Caitlin coffee and muffins to her office. He tells her that he will be there for her if she needs to talk. Caitlin asks him for a hug, just as Amber passes by in the hallway. Amber angrily turns and leaves. After Thomas leaves the office, Amber comes in. She acts very sweet to Caitlin and offers to be her friend if she wants to hang out or talk. Caitlin appreciates the offer, telling Amber she could use a friend right now. Amber leaves, pauses in the hallway to say to herself that as long as Caitlin stays away from Thomas, they can be friends.

Thorne and Darla go back to Spectra to find Stephanie there. The three of them discuss Brooke as the last chance for Spectra's designs to be on major retailers shelves. Darla has hope that Brooke will make the right decision and go against Ridge. Stephanie isn't so sure. She knows that Brooke has finally became Mrs. Ridge Forrester and Brooke won't risk rocking the boat by supporting Thorne over Ridge.

Deacon continues to weasel his way into Jackie's good graces by continuing to side with her as he tries to convince her not to let Nick force her out of her professional role at Jackie M. Deacon just happens to find a copy of the purchase agreement papers for the new company lying around Massimo's place and he and Jackie marvel over the fact that her name is the only one on the documents making her the sole owner of Jackie M. Jackie realizes she can't be forced out of her own company as she owns the entire chain, but even that doesn't bring a smile to her face. Deacon is evidently more enthusiastic at the news and convinces a reluctant Jackie to get out of the house and celebrate owning her own company, "lock, stock, and barrel."

Deacon surprises Jackie by taking her to Jackie M. where two employees are busy preparing the store for the next day's grand opening. They show their boss what they've accomplished thus far and, although she appears excited at first, Jackie confides in Deacon that her being there feels wrong as the whole store was Massimo's idea. Moments later, though, Jackie is back in the saddle as she quickly teaches the two staff members quick European to American dress size and currency conversions before the big day.

Across town, Stephanie and Eric debate over who's at fault for the current rift between their two sons. Eric beats himself up for letting Ridge overhear him call Thorne his only son. Thorne and Darla come over and question Eric as to whether he's made any leeway with Ridge. Eric's negative response prompts the four of them to wonder what is transpiring between Brooke and Ridge at that moment.

At Brooke and Ridge's place, Brooke tries to convince Ridge to withdraw his ultimatum to no avail. Ridge, assuming the two are still in agreement, reminds Brooke that they are the majority stockholders and, thereby, cannot be defeated. The doorbell rings interrupting their discussion and Thorne, Darla, Eric, and Stephanie arrive to confront Ridge who demands they all leave. Thorne agrees saying they will all do so as soon as they revote and reverse Ridge's decision. Thorne then turns to Brooke and implores her to do the right thing, vote against
