Sally realizes that Tony is thinking about getting married in New York because if Kristen has a lot of friends around her she won't miss her family so much. Sally assures Tony that she will be there to liven up the party. Tony asks if she'll take Massimo with her. Sally wonders if Massimo is a lost cause since he's still after Stephanie. Tony finds it ironic that Sally's actually rooting for Eric and Stephanie's marriage to survive, but Sally thinks it will just put things in her favor for once. Eric and Thorne stay with Ridge while Taylor checks on the kids. Eric gives Ridge a hopeful speech telling him that he can't lose his best friend. Eric is overcome with relief when Ridge wakes up. Stephanie is insulted when the doctor surmises that there is someone else who could be Ridge's father. The doctor only knows that given the information in front of him, Eric cannot be Ridge's father. The doctor attempts to help Stephanie calm down, telling her that right now she should concentrate on Ridge. Stephanie tries to absorb the realization that Ridge may be Massimo's son. Stephanie goes berserk when Massimo appears and asks what she was discussing with the doctor. She throws Massimo out of the room, leaving him even more confused.

In Ridge's hospital room, Stephanie was deep in thought about the news that Eric couldn't possibly be Ridge's father.

Sally went to Massimo's office when she heard that Ridge was in the hospital. She told Massimo she assumed that he had attacked Ridge. Massimo informed her that he hadn't touched Ridge. Massimo was upset that Stephanie had thrown him out of the hospital. Massimo suspected that there was more to it than Stephanie had told him. He told Sally that Stephanie was so upset about something that her skin tone had turned very pale. He suspected it had something to do with what the doctor told Stephanie. He told Sally that he overheard Stephanie tell the doctor that "No one can ever find out."

Over at Brooke's house, Bridget informed her that Ridge had been hospitalized due to an accident. When Brooke declined to go to the hospital, Bridget was confused. Brooke explained that she finally understands that Ridge is committed to Taylor. Brooke elaborated that she knows now that some relationships are not meant to be. Brooke reflected on a happier time when she and Ridge were married. She pointed out that even though they were happily married their marriage didn't last. Bridget revealed she didn't want that to happen to her and Deacon. Bridget told her mother she's decided to change her school major of medicine to something easier so she can focus more on her marriage to Deacon.

Over at Amber's, Deacon informed Amber that he's divorcing Bridget. He told her that its in Bridget's best interest and something he should have done a while ago. Amber assumed that Brooke had offered to pay him off or had otherwise put him up to this agreement to divorce Bridget. Deacon informed Amber that she was wrong. Deacon agreed with Brooke that his divorcing Bridget is best for her. Deacon told Amber that Brooke isn't a monster. As a matter of fact, he and Brooke have much in common. Amber was surprised that Deacon was befriending Brooke. Deacon explained that he, like Amber, is moving on with his life. Deacon admitted that he thinks that Brooke is an incredible woman.

Back at the hospital, Stephanie worried that Eric would find out he's not Ridge's father. Eric had no clue what Stephanie was thinking about. He tried to show his support of Stephanie. He told her not to blame herself for this accident because he knew Ridge was determined to confront Massimo. Stephanie assured Eric that she loves him and that he and their children are a top priority to her.

At Brooke's house, Deacon promised Stephanie he would tell Bridget he's planned to divorce her. He also promised Brooke, that once he is divorced from Bridget the Forrester family would never have to see him again. Brooke couldn't resist sharing another kiss with Deacon.

They are all wondering how Tony's parents will handle the news that Tony is HIV positive. Clarke remains strong in his belief that this marriage won't happen and that Tony's parents will put an end to it. He asks Sally what she would do if she were in their position. She couldn't say that she would be supportive. Clarke took her silence as an agreement with his feelings that any parent would not want their child involved in a hopeless relationship. The risks are too great. Eduardo and Liliana will take Tony to the hospital, not to the church! Sally, Darla and Sofia insist that Tony and Kristen will get married and have Tony's parents blessings too.

Eduardo and Liliana insist on knowing what Kristen's parents have against Tony. Tony tells them that he is HIV-positive. They are shocked, and say there must be some mistake. How could this have happened? Tony tells them that he got it from Ellen and that Ellen had died with AIDS. Eduardo asked Tony if he and Ellen had used protection and Tony had to admit that they did not. Eduardo tells Kristen that he appreciates her being such a good friend to Tony but that she needed to leave. Tony objects saying that his fiancée belongs with him. Eduardo states that he will not allow his son to get married out of pity. He now understands why the Forresters are against the wedding. Liliana agrees with her husband and urges Kristen to leave. Rick's anger is obvious and he continues to repeat that Deacon is No Good! Amber feels that Rick needs to consider Bridget's feelings and believes that Deacon and Bridget are good together. Bridget has gotten under Deacon's skin and that he does love her. Amber tells Rick and Thorne that Deacon and Bridget should stay married. Rick wants to know why Amber feels that way. Is it because that way Deacon won't be after her? Amber insists that Deacon is not a factor in their marriage. She truly believes that Bridget and Deacon can work things out and be happy. Thorne and Rick stick to their guns; they want Deacon out of Bridget's life for good.

Back at Big Bear, Bridget is still trying to make Deacon see that he does love her. He finally tells her that he cares about her but he is not in love with her. He told her that all of the time he was with her he was thinking about Amber. It has always been about Amber. He tells her that she deserves someone who will cherish her -- and he is not that guy.
