27-year-old Dani Mathers, who has had a recurring role as Danica on The Bold and the Beautiful, has been named Playboy's May 2014 Playmate of the Month.
"It was my Playmate dream come true and the greatest moment of my career," Mathers said of the honor. "Though I'm only five-one, I tried to stretch out and radiate like a larger-than-life sex symbol."
Miss May's pictorial was shot on the beaches of Cabo San Lucas, and a PG-rated behind-the-scenes video is available on YouTube.
Dani is an animal-rights activist and works closely with 2008 Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole's JNF Foundation, which works to rescue and shelter animals.
She is a 2005 graduate of Southern California's Oak Park High School and a 2009 graduate of Cal State Northridge.
Mathers has appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful since 2005 and appears in the upcoming films Neighbors (in theaters May 9) and Let's Be Cops (in theaters August 13).
