Jacqueline MacInnes Wood will rejoin The Bold and the Beautiful later this year. Wood, who joined the CBS soap in 2008, is also set to host a new E! series starting in December.
Two-time Daytime Emmy nominee Jacqueline MacInnes Wood
) will return to The Bold and the Beautiful before the end of the year -- but the actress will appear in only a handful of episodes.
Wood, who made her daytime debut as Steffy Forrester in 2008, opted to drop to recurring status with B&B earlier this year. The CBS soap issued a statement
indicating that Wood was "taking a short break, as she has done in the past" to pursue other opportunities outside of daytime.
One of those opportunities, a new E! series called Party On
, debuts later this year. As host of Party On
, Wood will travel around the world to exclusive resorts and gorgeous beaches to soak up the local party scene. Along the way, Wood will meet up with celebrities and jetsetters as she experiences the best of the best of each hot spot.

A week later, Wood returns to daytime. Her short-term B&B appearance begins December 12.
