Image Award-winning actress Tonya Lee Williams will see her character travel from Genoa City to Los Angeles as part of a B&B-Y&R crossover storyline this February. Williams' character will be revealed as the cousin of B&B's Justin.
There's another crossover looming for The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. B&B's Emmy-winning head writer and executive producer Bradley Bell has hired Y&R's Tonya Lee Williams
(Olivia Barber Winters
) for a two-day stint on the show. Williams will play her familiar Y&R role and will be revealed to be a cousin of B&B's Justin Barber, played by Aaron D. Spears.
"Apparently Brad Bell had this idea back when he named Aaron's character -- he just didn't let any of us know about it. We're just actors. Who knows what goes on behind the veil of Oz?" Williams mused in an interviewed with TVGuide
's Michael Logan.
The magazine also teases that Williams' appearance will tie in to a "major event" in Justin's life that will be a first for B&B.
In the past, several Genoa City residents have found their way to Los Angeles -- and vice versa.
Williams made her Y&R debut in May 1990 and remained with the show through September 2005. Since then, the actress has appeared sporadically on a recurring basis.
Williams will appear on The Bold and the Beautiful on February 1 and 2. There is also word that Williams will be returning to The Young and the Restless later this year for an extended run.
