Daytime Emmy winner Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) underwent emergency surgery earlier this month after doubling over in pain at the B&B studios.
On October 5th, Frantz was admitted to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. According to a report, the actress had been in pained - and worked through it - for several days. At the hospital, tests confirmed that the actress' appendix had to be removed.
Three days later, Frantz was released from the hospital. Frantz, however, was ordered to remain at home for recuperating for at least one week.
Frantz's absence will not impact the show, according to an insider. The show will not need to recast the role and there have been no revisions to the script. It is said that Frantz's surgery was ironically timed - her character was not featured in the show and will not have any major scenes until well after her return-to-work date.
