Due to the recent terrorist attacks against the United States, The Bold and the Beautiful will be undergoing some changes.
The show had planned a location shoot this November in Italy. However, security concerns have prompted the show to postpone its plans for the shoot.
"Our first priority is the safety and peace of mind of our people," said Bradley Bell, executive producer and head writer of B&B. "Our Italian colleagues have expressed to us their complete understanding and support our decision [to postpone the shoot]."
According to a setside source, the trip to Italy was simply for aesthetic purposes, so there are no major changes needed in the show's script. However, there were a few events that were scheduled to take place during the trip that will need to be moved to a new location.
The postponed photoshoot is just one of many changes being made to the soaps in the wake of September 11th's terrorist attacks. ABC's General Hospital was forced to jettison a biological warfare storyline and Port Charles scrambled to rewrite a storyline that focused on a character's past as a terrorist.
B&B execs hope to be able to travel to Italy sometime next year for an on-location shoot.
