Amanda continues to stress over whether or not to continue the charade as Hadley. Matt convinces her to tell Alex that she was through and he was on his own to destroy Carl. Meanwhile, Jake lets Lila know that he's on to her scheme to nab a rich Cory now that Shane has turned her away. She denies it of course but continues to play up to Matt. Later, Jake catches Amanda trying to phone Alex and accuses her of being in cahoots with him. Felicia and Alex get into a huge screaming match about his controlling behavior. She whips off her engagement ring and screams that the wedding was off. She wanders down to the bar and was tempted to have a drink. Alex eventually comes down and apologizes for his behavior. Even though she was hesitant, they kiss and make up. Sophia and Nick spend some quiet time together and are overjoyed when they found out Rayburn was caught and Nick was a free man. They are able to brush off nasty comments from a delivery man who asks Sophia how she could be with a rapist. They both fantasize about making love for the first time while watching an old movie. Josie was rushed to the hospital after falling 5 stories while Toni and Joe arrest Chip. Shane wants Josie to stay in the hospital over night but she insists she was fine and says the OB/GYN says the baby was fine too. Toni, Etta Mae and Tyrone are finally able to celebrate and breathe a sign of relief. A close moment between Toni and Tyrone was interrupted by Chris's return. Toni clings to Chris while Tyrone looks on. Josie comes by the Burrell house to celebrate but then begins to have abdominal pains and realizes something was wrong with the baby.

Jake was miffed when Shane shows up at Vicky's and informs him that Vicky wanted Shane to send Kirk's toy medical bag. Jake wastes no time in showing Shane the sign that reads "Vicky and Jake's house". Later, Chris shows up at Vicky's and told Jake that Rayburn was finally caught. The two friends decide to run a special edition of the Herald and leave to make plans. Shane on the other hand went to Carlino's for a pep talk with Paulina. She tells him to get on with his life and enjoy it. He takes her suggestion to go to Alexander's new club, "The Pandora". Paulina gives the same advice to Amanda who decides to go dressed as Hadley. she was pleased when Shane offers to buy her a drink. Grant becomes unresponsive to Cindy's advances because the fertility god was gone. She races to achieve it from The Pandora. Unfortunately, it has already started to work its magic on Donna and Michael who almost give into their hormones again but stop when the statue was removed. Grant offers Donna a place on his administration and she agrees despite Michael's protests. she insists its a good way to keep an eye on Grant. Grant throws his weight around as the new mayor and threatens both Joe and Paulina about pressing charges about the accident. Tyrone and Dana share a kiss. A worried Josie is admitted to the hospital and was told she has a ruptured placenta . Toni finally convinces her to let Toni call Gary but she misses him at his hotel. Josie has a nightmare where she was holding her baby which disappears and she wakes up crying and in pain. When she sees Toni again, she tearfully admits that she lost the baby.
