Scott Holroyd joined the cast of As the World Turns on July 10, 2001 in the role of Paul Ryan, son of Barbara Ryan and the evil James Stenbeck. A character steeped in Oakdale history, Paul returns to town to tend to his mother in a desperate time of need.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Holroyd received a B.A. from the University of South Carolina where he majored in Journalism and Mass Communication. Upon graduating, Scott moved to New York where he trained at The School for Film and Television in Manhattan.

Holroyd has starred in such feature films as Touchstone Pictures' The Program. He has also guest-starred in the television series Matlock, and has appeared in regional theater productions of Brighton Beach Memoirs and Pippin.
