At Java Paul brought Meg a rose to apologize to her again. Paul said their problems were over since Craig would be in jail. Meg disagreed about how Paul did things and thought about things. She realized what Craig did to Roseanne was the problem. Paul said he still had a place in his heart for her and what he was really doing was protecting Meg. Paul then left for court, as he wanted to see Craig's face when he was carted off to jail.

In court Lucy was asked about her father kidnapping her and she said she wasn't sure. The judge asked her about her statement and if her pressing charges now was due to the custody hearing coming up. Lucy fumbled on the stand. The judge asked her if this was malicious prosecution and admonished her for wasting the court's time. Lucy recanted her statement. Dusty kept interrupting and the judge got on him and then dismissed the case. Dusty told Craig to "bring it on" and Craig walked out...all smiles.

In the hall a mad Dusty asked Lucy what happened. Lucy said she did it to protect him from her father. She apologized. Dusty left. Craig came over to Lucy and thanked her. She told him that she hated him. Paul came around the corner as Craig walked out. Paul lashed out at Lucy when she told him what happened.

Craig went straight to Java and helped Meg with her spilled coffee.

Dusty went to the suite and grabbed his gun from the safe.

At the Snyder Farm, the entire family gathers to celebrate Thanksgiving. As they get ready for dinner, Emma asks if she should set a place for Paul and Meg says she doesn't know since the two have had another fight about Craig. Emma and Meg discuss her problems with Paul and Meg tells Emma she will marry Paul as soon as possible. Meg tells Emma about Craig's suggestion to marry Paul as soon as possible and Emma warns Meg not to take any advice from Craig. After a long discussion about her feelings for Paul, Emma agrees to help Meg get ready for her wedding to Paul. Holden, Lily, and Faith all enter the room and Holden comments about Faith's need for a new horse, just as Jade comes in and remarks that it is too bad he couldn't have bought the horse on his business trip to Springfield yesterday. Meg then corrects Jade and tells her Holden wasn't in Springfield, but in Oakdale last night. A surprised Lily looks to Holden and Meg says she saw him crossing the road in Oakdale, but Jade gives him an alibi and says she knows Holden went out of town. Meg admits she may have seen things wrong and Holden runs out to find Luke. After finding Luke, Holden returns inside and Luke gets a call from an upset Lucy and leaves the farm to talk to her. In the kitchen, Jade and Faith have a piece of pie and discuss food, when Lily comes in and comments about her "gaining five pounds by just looking at pie". Jade tells Lily she looks great and then goes outside to get chairs from the barn and runs into Holden carrying the Snyder squash and she confronts Holden about having an affair. Holden tells her the woman is an associate and tells Jade not to say anything she could regret. Lily then comes out to the porch and asks Jade if there is something going on between her and Holden. Jade tells Lily that nothing is going on between her and Holden and they return inside. Back in the house, Emma announces Meg's intention to marry Paul next week and Meg asks Holden to have the wedding at his house. Holden agrees to host the wedding and Emma tells Meg she is happy for her.

While Gwen and Will are out shopping for Johnny, they run into Iris. Gwen reminds Iris that she wants nothing more to do with her and Iris says she just wants to wish the both of them a Happy Thanksgiving. Gwen and Will then tell Iris of their plans to have dinner with Barbara, which shocks Iris because of Barbara's past treatment of Gwen. Iris says she wants to know how Gwen and Will were able to forgive Barbara. Gwen and Will explain to Iris that after Jennifer's death things changed with Barbara and then leave Iris to go to dinner. Will then tells Gwen he wants to get his mom a book from the bookstore and to go to the car to wait. After leaving Gwen, Will confronts Iris and tells her to find a fresh start some where else away from Gwen. Iris tells Will she is broke and that she has to stay in town per her parole. Will gives Iris money and he tells her the money is a one time thing and to stay out of their life.

In the Lakeview bar, a frantic Lucy has finally found Craig and asks him to drop the custody suit over Johnny because she is afraid if he doesn't Dusty will kill him. Lucy explains that Jennifer wanted Dusty to raise Johnny and Craig tells her he won't let Jennifer "rule his life from the grave". Lucy explains that Dusty will do anything to keep Craig away from Johnny and Craig says he will not drop the suit. A frustrated Lucy leaves her father to try to figure out what to do next. Luke meets Lucy at Java where she says she is too late to fix things. She says she had a chance to keep her father away from everyone, but she failed. Luke tells her to let Craig and Dusty "duke it out" over Johnny and that things will work out.

While in his car, Dusty is holding a gun and a picture of Jennifer and Johnny and is talking aloud about how he promised Jennifer he would keep Craig from Johnny. Dusty calls Craig and tells him to meet him in the parking garage at the Lakeview and Craig agrees.

At the Lakeview, Paul goes to Barbara's for dinner and there he tells Barbara he is trying to figure out a way to get Craig out of their lives forever. Barbara fills Paul in on what happened at the court house and then Emily arrives at the house and tells Barbara and Paul that Dusty has a gun and is looking for Craig. Emily tells Barbara and Paul she wants to help Dusty keep Johnny and then goes to the hall to take a call. Paul finds Emily in the hall and tells her not to get between Craig and Dusty and then Emily leaves and Paul follows her. In the apartment, Dusty returns to Barbara and Johnny and she lets him know Emily has told her about the gun and she asks him not to do anything to hurt Craig for fear he will loose Johnny. Barbara tells Dusty that he cannot fix anything by killing Craig and Dusty hugs and kisses Johnny as Gwen and Will arrive. The two take Johnny off to play and Barbara reminds Dusty that Jennifer wouldn't want Dusty to kill Craig. Dusty says he isn't telling her what he plans on doing for her own safety and that she needs to trust him. Dusty gives Johnny a hug and tells him this hug will have to last him a while and leaves the apartment to meet Craig in the garage. Meanwhile, Paul has followed Emily to the bar where he sees Emily and Craig discussing Craig's plan to take down Dusty. Craig and Emily scheme to have Emily go to Dusty's car and find his gun. Craig gives Emily a car jimmy and tells her not to get caught. Paul follows Emily to the garage where Emily uses the jimmy to break into Dusty's car and she finds his gun and switches the bullets. Emily gets out of the car and throws the bullets in the trash where they are retrieved by Paul who gets back into Dusty's car and replaces the bullets in the gun with the ones Emily has just thrown away.
