Mike arrives to fix Katie's water heater, which Henry has purposefully broken in order to arrange a meeting between Mike and Katie. Mike tells Katie that he feels that he must leave town to get off the merry-go-round that their relationship has become. As the two begin to share a tender moment, Henry comes back in, and Mike takes advantage of the break in the mood to escape. Katie plans to drown her sorrows in ice cream.
In the Hughes' kitchen, Chris protests to Kim that he is not threatened by Alison's relationship with Aaron, in spite of the fact that Kim saw Alison and Aaron hugging at the hospital. Aaron arrives at that very moment with the annulment papers, and asks to speak to Chris. He sincerely apologizes to Chris, saying that he was wrong about what happened in Chicago. Chris forgives him and the two young men shake hands. Alison walks outside with Aaron and thanks him for his apology to Chris. Alison and Aaron embrace and promise to remain good friends. Alison goes upstairs to get ready to go to the hospital to work, and Chris asks Kim to stop lecturing Alison. He leaves a shaky and tearful Kim standing in the kitchen. Aaron goes to the Al's Diner, where he finds Clark sweet-talking a new girl. Aaron warns the girl to watch what she is drinking when she is with Clark, causing the girl to stalk away from Clark. Clark threatens Aaron, "Back off or you'll regret it."
At home, Jack questions Carly about her decision to go to work for B.R.O., and Carly admits that Barbara doesn't know that Paul has offered her a job. Jack immediately guesses that Paul is planning to kick Barbara out of the business, and that he wants to have Carly waiting in the wings. He warns Carly that she is bound to get hurt if she goes along with Paul's plan, but Carly flares up and insists that she wants the opportunity to become a success right away, and that she is willing to take the risk. She finishes, "Just don't get in my way, okay?" When Jack reminds Carly that when she is designing she gets reckless, Carly is hurt that Jack doesn't have faith in her good judgment.
At metro, Molly tells Craig that she let it slip to Paul that there might be trouble with Cabot's adoption. Molly begs Craig's forgiveness, but Craig blames only Paul. Paul has come to see Lucy at Fairwinds. She tells Paul that she is considering moving back to Montega, but Paul answers, "I never figured you for a quitter." He puts his arms around her to comfort her, and just then Craig walks into the room. Craig greets Paul sarcastically, "What a good friend you are, always there in times of trouble." Craig insists that Lucy leave the room and he confronts Paul about betraying Craig to the Canadian authorities. Paul responds by confronting Craig, "While you were out there cleaning up your latest disaster, your little girl nearly got raped!" Paul tells Craig that he was the one who saved Lucy. "You were never a worthy parent to Cabot. Now Lucy is starting to figure out that she deserves better, too."
Lily learns WOAK's celebrity reporter is interviewing Barbara Ryan live. She blows up about Barbara and Holden cautions her to slow down. Lily crashes the interview and tells all about Barbara and Will and Rose's murder. Holden sees Lily on TV. She goes too far and is stopped by Holden, who takes Natalie. Later, Holden lays into Lily. Lucinda steps in before Aaron and Clark come to blows. Aaron fills Lucinda in about the attempted rape. When a jealous Craig tries to beat up Paul, Lucy intervenes. Lucy announces that she didn't tell Craig about Clark because she didn't want him to make things worse. She also says she will not stop seeing Paul. Barbara calls Paul to come to the interview. Lucinda gets involved when Craig pressures Lucy to stop confiding in Paul. Craig is devastated. Carly insists to Jack she's not backing down about BRO. Paul and Molly form an alliance. Jack arrives and confronts Paul about Carly and BRO. He decides to go along with the deal and stay silent, but he'll be watching Paul. Carly watches Barbara's interview and daydreams about being interviewed herself. Lucy deflects Lucinda's attempts to probe about the attempted rape. Lucinda gets a call about Barbara and Lily's onscreen debacle, but keeps news of Lily's breakdown from Lucy. Craig makes peace with Aaron and tries to enlist him to punish Clark. The two men bond and join forces in a plan to nail Clark and get back in Lucy's good graces. Jack agrees to back Carly. Claudette assures a mortified Barbara that the interview went her way. Paul arrives to take Barbara to dinner.
Aaron lays out to Curtis and Alison his plans for trapping Clark, and Alison agrees to help. Aaron fills in Jack, who urges him to stay out of it. Kim arrives to see Alison set to go out, dressed as a tart. Alison blows Kim off. Lucinda urges Lucy to go on the offensive against Clark, but Lucy wants to forget the whole thing happened. Jack informs them of Aaron's intentions to trap Clark. At Yo's, Alison makes her move on Clark. Aaron enters to watch the sting unfold. Clark spots Aaron and slips out with Alison. At the police station, Jack tells Holden about Aaron's plan. Craig shows up and announces that he supports what Aaron is doing. Chris arrives and gets in Aaron's face about involving Alison in something dangerous. Alison thinks she's safe because she didn't sip her drink, but it turns out that Clark drugged the cherries she was eating at the bar. A groggy Alison attempts to fight off the effects as Clark drives. Craig tries to call Aaron with no answer and Lucy explodes that Craig has taken away her family with what he did to Cabot and Rosanna. Barbara is pumped about the new line she's designed. Craig realizes Carly is aligned with Paul. He wants Carly to use Paul to help him find his wife. Barbara surprises Paul and comes across one of Carly's designs. He covers, assuring Barbara her work is spectacular. Later, Carly wants more reassurance that Paul had nothing to do with losing Cabot. Carly is satisfied with Paul's explanation. They toast the future and their promising business partnership.
Barbara and Jennifer were at BRO. Jennifer was looking at designs that Barbara drew and was very impressed. Barbara was on a high and wanted to keep on working. Jennifer was bored and wanted something constructive to do. Barbara told her to go out and get something to eat. After Jennifer told her mother to settle down, Barbara decided to take Jennifer out to dinner instead. Meanwhile, over at Paul's, Carly and Paul were toasting Barbara's downfall from BRO. They started talking about a name change. Paul thought of a something simple like 'Carly'. Carly was impressed and as they were drinking a toast, there was a knock at the door. It was Lucy, who told Paul that she didn't know where else to go. Paul was very understanding and sympathetic. He truly understood what Lucy was going through and they shared a wonderful conversation. She confided in Paul that it was very hard to have everyone do and say everything for her. Paul told her that she shouldn't let people do that to her and that she should make some noise and let everyone know what Lucy Montgomery was made of. Paul told Lucy she was welcome anytime and Lucy asked him if she could stay the night.
Lucinda, Craig and Lucy were at the police station. Craig was telling Lucy that he would do anything to protect her. Lucy wasn't buying any of it. One minute Craig was trying to get Aaron out of her life and the next he was Aaron's best friend. Lucy told her father he couldn't be trusted and walked out. Lucinda tried to tell Craig that there was more going on with Lucy than the attempted rape. Lucy was very upset about losing Rosanna and Cabot. Craig tried to leave but Lucinda stopped him and told him to give Lucy some time. Craig tried to call Lucy several times but to no avail. He suspected that she went to Paul's but Lucinda told him to let it alone. Lucy would come back when she was ready. Carly came in to the station and was writing a note to Jack while Craig was looking over her shoulder. He started to question her about her secret but Carly promptly told him to mind his own business and left. Carly went to BRO and was fantasizing about her success when Barbara came in and started taunting her. Barbara told her that there was no way Carly could be a threat to her but Carly said she already was!
Aaron, Jack and Chris were trying to find out where Clark took Alison. Chris told Aaron that Clark was dangerous and was holding him responsible if anything happened to Alison. Chris was about to leave to go searching for Alison but Jack asked him what he thought he was going to do if he found her. Jack found the camera and Aaron told him everything that went down was on tape. Holden said to Aaron that every time Aaron tries to take the law into his own hands, something goes wrong and he didn't blame Chris for being mad at him. In the car, Clarke told Alison that she was about to have the best time of her life. Alison pretended to fall asleep and took out her phone to call Chris. Alison tried to get Clark to tell her where they were going and just as he did the phone went dead. Chris heard and told Jack that he knew where they were going and said he had to get there first. Jack got it out of him that they were going to the Old Mill so he had a squad car go out there. Clark got Alison into the room and started to rape her when Chris came barging in and knocked Clark out. Clark came to and knocked Chris out. He said to Alison, "Now, where were we?"
While Jessica prepares to visit Bonnie in prison, Sarah plants letters inside a photo album so Jessica will get caught. Jess tells Sarah she can't take another letter to Bonnie because Lisa is joining her on the trip this time. Casey and Lisa arrive. Casey tries to convince Sarah to back off her plan to bring down Jessica. After Jessica and Lisa leave, Sarah has second thoughts. Casey and Sarah rush off to Al's Diner to catch up with Jess and Lisa. Casey creates a diversion, and Sarah gives Jessica another chance to come clean about the letters. Jess plants another lie, and Sarah decides to leave her letters inside the scrapbook. Jessica takes off for the prison.
Bob and Susan are conferring at the hospital when Kim arrives. Kim wants to apologize for the argument the other day and offers to bury the hatchet. Susan's beeper sounds and she is called away, but she reserves the right to finish the discussion later.
Carly and Barbara exchange zingers at the BRO offices. Carly: "I'll snuff you out with the one thing you will never have...a really good design." Barbara: "You slay me. You're a plagiarist and a flop." Barbara shuffles Carly out the door. Carly simmers as Paul's plan unfolds.
Clark knocks Chris on his keister with a nearby flower pot, then he grabs Alison and says, "I'm not done with you yet!" They head for the door when Chris jumps him from behind. They struggle until the cops arrive and break up the fight. Jack finds a vile of GHB on Clark and arrests him. An ambulance takes Alison to the hospital.
Holden puts two and two together and figures out Craig encouraged Aaron to set Clark up. But Aaron covers for Craig saying the whole plan was his own. Aaron and Holden walk away and cool off. Carly arrives and Craig probes her for info about her new partnership with Paul. He questions her until he collects enough information about her plans. He gets excited and says, "And with that bit of information, I stop Paul cold." He guesses that Carly is somehow going to replace Babs at BRO, then says, "Barbara's going to like that as much as she likes her reflection at 6am." Carly asks him why he would tell Barbar because he hates her just as much as anyone. Craig says Barbara only tried to put him in jail, but Paul is trying to take his family away from him, which is ten times worse. "No one messes with my family." Suddenly, Jack arrives dragging Clark behind him. Craig slithers out of the station unnoticed. Aaron wants to check on Alison, but Holden says Chris needs to take care of her now. Holden finally cuts his kid a break and tells him how proud he is for taking a stand on a subject like this. Just then, Carly notices Craig has left the building and she suspects he has made a bee-line straight to Barbara.
Bob visits Chris and Alison in her recovery room. He notices the cuts on Chris' scalp and leaves to get a suture kit. Outside Bob runs into Kim, and he fills her in on how Alison got hurt. Kim pops a vessel and badmouths Alison's lack of maturity. Susan wanders into the area just at the right moment and blows a fuse of her own, "You hypocrite! You want to bury the hatchet right in my daughter's back!" Bob fills Susan in on why Alison is in the hospital. Susan drops her guard and rushes into her daughter's room. After she finds out Alison is OK, Bob asks everyone to leave. Bob tells Chris how proud he is of him for defending Alison. Kim and Susan return to the hallway, where they pick up right were they left off. Susan says, "I'll make this brief. All is not forgiven! You hate me so you take it out on my daughter. I'm warning you, I will do whatever it takes to defend my daughter. You and I are at war!!"
Babs opens the BRO office door and finds Craig standing tall. She says she's all stocked up and tries to close the door, but he grabs her attention. He says, "It's your favorite topic...self-preservation, and I think you're going to want to hear what I have to say." She lets him inside, but tries not to listen to him. He pushes and pushes, and then she asks him for a pair of scissors. He gingerly hands her a pair, then says, "What if I told you that Carly Tenney is working with your son to destroy you." Barbara's eyes reveal that she might think it's true.
