Oakdale was filled with tension today as Barbara confronted James about his role in the disappearances of Carly, Emily, and Rose. Simon tried to wiggle his way around his past, his wife's birthday, and Margo's job proposal. Jack tries to deceive Julia into thinking he loves her so he can plot his escape. And Isaac wants to know where he stands with Bonnie now that he's professed his love.

A mystery woman gives Simon a check from the firm of Preston, Drysdale and Lang from Beverly Hills in the amount of $500,000. Simon says he's done trying to prove anything to her partners and that she should leave Katie out of this. She tells him he can't run from his past and asks is he's "scared I'll tell her?" Katie walks in and the woman excuses herself. Simon explains that the woman was a lawyer. Katie is still hurt that Simon has lied to her. Katie leaves him alone in the restaurant.

At Java, Ian asks Isaac if he has fallen in love with Bonnie. He says he has, "I love her." Bonnie is shocked containing her excitement. Ian wants to talk with Bonnie alone to clear up some issues. Isaac doesn't agree and sticks with the ex-couple while they hash out Bonnie's choice of a new life. Ian says it's OK to dump him. "Turn your back on my castle, but find yourself a kingdom." He points his thumb over his shoulder to Isaac and says, "Don't settle on him." Bonnie tells Ian that he's done and that she's "traded Royal for loyal." On Ian's way out, he tosses in one last dig at Isaac. He stops and says he admires Isaac for professing his love for Bonnie, but "it's a pity that she didn't offer her love in return." He winks at Isaac and leaves. Isaac goes to Bonnie and asks her about her feelings and why she didn't say I love you back. He says that if she was the one who said I love you, and all Isaac said was I care for you, Bonnie would go nuts and Isaac would be in the doghouse. Bonnie tells that Isaac he said I love you out of "hurt pride, not love." Isaac says that guys don't use those words unless they mean it. This touches Bonnie. She says, she'll call Ian "right now and tell him that I love you." Isaac stops her and says, "You don't need to tell him. How about me?" "I...I...I can't just say I love you on demand. I...feel it. I just can't..." Isaac stops her, "I have to get back to work." He turns and walks away.

In Jack's bedroom, Jack is faking sleep while locked up in a straitjacket. Julia comes in singing to the tune of a nursery rhyme. "Are you sleeping? Are you sleeping? Husband Jack? My biological clock is ticking. Ding-Dong-Ding." She sidles up to him and asks, "Did I tell you I want to have another baby?" She strokes his cheek and whispers, "And when he's sleeping, he'll look just like you...without the straitjacket." She leaves the room, and then Jack urgently struggles to escape. Jack hears Julia approaching and he starts to choke on his gag. Nurse Julia comes to his rescue. She rips of his gag and starts to pat him on his back to help clear his throat. He's feverish and she gets him a blanket. Later, Julia brings Jack some food. Jack's lips are dry and she offers to get him some water, but he wants Julia to wet his lips with her own. This throws Julia off. She's not sure if she should believe him or not, but she only hesitates for a moment before she plants a nice wet one on Jack. He shivers with a chill and asks Julia to warm him up. "Make love to me." This is more than Julia ever hoped for...a man in a straitjacket begging to make love. Julia leaves to dress in appropriate romantic attire.

The press caught wind that James and Barbara were both at the station and were ready to reveal what they know about the kidnappings. The media is frenzied and a photographer gets in Babs' face for some shots. Dr. Dixon shuffles her out of the way and James slimes his way up to Barbar and asks if she's scared. She spits out, "Scared? You wish!" "You should be. Even on your best day, you were never a match for me." Relishing in her newfound confidence, Babs says that she doesn't care if she goes to prison for the rest of her life because it means that, "So will you!"

Margo gets rid of all the press, and Lucinda, then takes Babs to the holding cell since she's has confessed to her involvement in the crimes. Dr. John throws a fit saying that she's still out on bail, but Margo hauls Barbara away anyway. James is taken to the interrogation room. Later, Jessica tries to calm down a peeved Margo. They decide to interrogate both of them at the same time.

Lucinda goes straight to Paul and asks him to get down to the station right away. She needs to know what is going on in the interrogation room. Dr. John comes in and asks her what the hell Lucinda is doing there.

Margo brings Babs into the interrogation room to James' surprise. Margo and Jessica make sure that both James and Barbara are aware their confessions will be videotaped. Margo asks Barbara for her version of the story. She finally admits that she ordered James to get rid of Carly, Emily, and Rose because she perceived that each of them was stealing something from her life. "He made me feel attractive. Wanted. I wanted them gone." Margo asks, "Dead?" "No! Just gone." Babs smirks and plays her trump card. She says she's kept a record of every phone call, every meeting, and every correspondence she ever had with James. James' arrogant face turns sour. Margo asks where the list is. Barbara leans back in her chair, smiles, and slowly points to her head. Tapping her noggin she says, "In here." James recovers his arrogance and smirks at her across the table.

Now it's James' turn. He puts on an impeccable poker face and says he intends to confess to everything. He asks Barbara about their previous marriage and how it affected her. Barbara briefly describes how he drugged her over the course of a few months, then had her committed. Barbara agrees the marriage was very taxing. James then admits his past deeds have finally succeeded in driving Babs mad. Barbara loses her composure and yells, "I'm not crazy!" Calmly, James says, "She is obsessed with me for the wretched way I treated her." "How dare you try to deny what you did to those women!" Calmly, "Easy now. It's very easy for you to go into Never-Never Land." That's the last straw and Barbara's fangs come out. She jumps up and lunges for James' throat. "You're lying!" "Prove it! You get confused. You can't be trusted!"

The session is interrupted when Simon asks to see Margo. He tells her that he found out Jack hasn't left Oakdale. She tells him even though it's Katie's birthday, he has to find Jack as soon as possible. Simon goes home and finds Katie fake sleeping in bed. He makes a speech to her back saying how sorry he is for not being able to spend time with her and for not being able to tell her the truth. He kisses her cheek and then leaves to search for Jack.

Back in the interrogation room, Barbara threatens James, "I am taking you down with me." He calmly says, "My dear. You can't prove anything."

Jack gathers all the strength he can muster and hops on his one good leg down the stairs and into the living room where he finds a cell phone. He knocks it on the floor and is able to dial a number. He loudly says, "Hello?! Is anyone there?!"

He meets her at the station house where they worry about the missing Rose after James is released. Paul tries to assure Barbara he now believes her, but she is unappreciative of the gesture and leaves. Later, James calls Paul and offers to tell him where Rose is if he'll first meet with him. Dr. Weston advises Rose that she'll be reunited with her friends tonight and forces her to swallow the blue drink. Libby assures Rose that she'll help her escape tonight. However before her escape, Rose sees Lucinda, Paul and James only to find out she is hallucinating

Katie is upset with Simon because he left her alone on her birthday. Simon says he will make it up to her. Katie asks him, "Is there someone else?" Simon says, "I found more with you than I could ever hoped for." They kiss and Katie finds the check in his pocket. While Simon takes a shower, Katie is surprised to find a check, "with a lot of zeros", made out to Simon. Dahlia comes over to show Katie the video cover and sees Katie holding the check. Dahlia asks what it is and Katie tells her it is a certified check and wonders how to find out who issued it. Dahlia suggests calling the bank or just asking Simon since they have such a close relationship. After Dahlia leaves, Katie calls the bank and discovers the check came from a woman named Monique Ferrara.

At the police station, Margo is swamped. Jessica comes in with a cup of coffee for Margo and also to tell her that the State Attorney's Office wants to indict and convict Abigail for the murder of Nick Scudder. Margo says she hasn't had time to work on the case because so many other things have been going on. Bonnie walks into the police station looking for her mother. She tells Jessica that Isaac said he loves her and that Ian is in town. Jessica asks her daughter if she loves Isaac. Bonnie says she has feelings for him. She tells her mother that she is no longer the superficial princess she once was. Ian has asked her to meet him for breakfast but she doesn't know if she should go. Jessica says she needs to make that decision on her own. They hug and after Bonnie leaves, Jessica calls Isaac and asks him to meet her for a few moments. When Isaac comes to meet Jessica, she asks him how serious he is about Bonnie and she tells him that Ian is very smooth and that Bonnie needs closure. Isaac shows Jessica the gift he bought Bonnie and Jessica tells him to find her and give it to her.

Meanwhile, Bonnie is having breakfast with Ian. Ian admits that he was a fool and takes the blame for everything. He presents Bonnie with his family crown and tells her he can only imagine going to events with her standing next to him. He says she can stay or she can go with him and he tells her, "You'll always be my duchess." Ian kisses Bonnie's hand and walks away telling Bonnie he's leaving at midnight. Isaac sees Bonnie holding the crown and puts his gift into his pocket than walks away.

Craig arrives at the police station with Lucy. He says that Lucy wants a tour of the station. Margo knows that Craig is just fishing for information but he says he is simply "multi-tasking." Margo refuses to give Craig any information about the investigation but she does tell him that Jack is missing and that he never got on the plane to Paris.

At Jack's house, during the "Misery" scenes, Julia brings breakfast to Jack - fresh oysters and goat weed pills. She tells Jack she is ovulating and wants to try to have a baby. She makes him drink juice that she put the pills in, but he spits it out at her. She says he made a "big mistake." And Jack says, "then kill me already." Julia begins to cry and gets very upset. Jack sees this and says he will make a baby with her but he thinks they should just "hold each other." Julia says she needs, "stud services" and she wants to get him a "harness." Jack at first is shocked but then goes along with it. Julia says she'll be right back and tells Jack to behave or else she will harm Mitzi. Meanwhile, Mitzi goes to Margo at the police station and tells her that something just didn't seem right at Jack's house. She thought it was too neat and she knows he wouldn't have thought to throw out the flowers before he left for his trip. Margo is busy and tells Mitzi she doesn't have the time. Mitzi decides to investigate on her own.

At the Snyder barn, Lucy is there and sees Julia. She doesn't know who she is and they exchange small talk. Craig walks in and sees Julia. He orders Lucy to go inside with Emma. Once Lucy is gone, Craig tells Julia he didn't know she was released and asks her if she has seen Jack yet. Julia says her relationship with Jack was in the past. Julia comments on how sweet Lucy seemed and told Craig to take care of her. She heard that he had lost his son and Julia says she knows what it is like to lose a child. As Julia leaves, she tells Craig not to mention that he saw her. Craig goes straight to Margo and tells her that he just had a "polite conversation" with Julia. How interesting that Julia is in town and Jack is missing. Margo immediately calls Dr. Michaels.

In the meantime, Mitzi goes over to Jack's house. She starts to look around and hears a noise. Jack tries to call out to her but his mouth is covered with tape. He then bangs his head against the headboard. Mitzi goes upstairs and sees him. She takes the tape off his mouth and he tells her there isn't much time, to quickly undo the straight jacket. As Mitzi is trying to take off the straight jacket, Julia has returned. Julia notices the door is ajar and knows something is amiss. She says, "You've been a bad boy Jack."

Isaac tells Lisa and Billy about seeing Bonnie and "the duke" at the Lakeview and he had given her a crown of jewels. Lisa tries to give Isaac some advice, but Isaac is convinced that Bonnie has decided on the duke. Bonnie comes running in and apologizes for being late. She is carrying a shopping bag with the crown in its case inside. Isaac asks her what she has in the bag and she says that it is nothing. She stuffs it behind the bar and goes to the back to get ready. While she is gone, Isaac looks into the bag and takes out his small box that contains diamond earrings and necklace that he had purchased for her. When he sees the difference in the size of his box compared to the duke's box he says, "It's over." Bonnie comes back out and makes a comment about things don't look too busy. Isaac tells her that they all sent out for sandwiches and asks if she is hungry. She informs him that she had a late lunch at the Lakeview. He says that is an expensive place to eat and asks if it was a special occasion. She says no and then asks about turkey or roast beef sandwiches. Isaac says, "That's it!" He picks up the bag from behind the bar and takes out the crown and asks, "What is this? Maybe the duke couldn't keep his kilt down, but somehow you ended up with his family jewels!" Billy comes up and asks if he should call Megan and tell her not to come in. Isaac says no and Bonnie says yes. Billy says, "Word." and he walks away. Bonnie asks if Isaac thought that she wouldn't come in for her shift and he tells her that he thought that she was crowned duchess of the Lakeview and she wouldn't show up for her shift. She then informs Isaac that if he had taken the time to find out what was going on, he would have known that she told Ian that she didn't want him. She starts to walk away and he asks if she isn't even wondering why he was looking for her. She tells him that she is afraid to ask. He takes out his little jewel box and hands it to her. He tells her that he bought this for her. She opens the box and tells him that they are exquisite. She tells him that he has good taste. He says that he saw them and thought they were beautiful just like she is and he bought them for her. She tells him that this is not like him. He tells her that she doesn't know him and she has a long way to go. She asks if he wants her to know him. He says that he wants to ride this out and see where it takes them. Then he says, "Stay with me Bonnie." As they are talking intimately, Billy comes up and they tell him to go away. Billy says that they might want to see this. They look up and Ian is standing at the door greeting Bonnie's father, Duncan McKecknie. She sees her father and jumps up and runs to him squealing, "Daddy!!" He grabs her and hugs her and says that he has heard his daughter is going to become a duchess after all. Isaac looks very disgusted.

As Margo is praying for someone to help her, Hal walks in the door. As he and Margo discuss what has been going on while he was gone, Hal seems different to Margo. He is short tempered with her and he didn't ask about Adam. She informs him about Jack missing and she suspects James Stenbeck. Hal takes James' side. He tells Margo that he is working with the FBI and can't discuss anything with her. She presses him for information and he yells at her and says that he won't tolerate talking back from his subordinate. She asks him if that is what she is, his subordinate. He asks her if something changed while he was gone. She says that he is the chief of detectives and she has no right to interrogate him. He looks at her and says that there is one thing that he does know and that is that there is no evidence linking James to the disappearance of those women. Before he walks out, he tells her that where ever Jack ran off to, he is wasting his time. After he is gone, Margo realizes that something is not right. Later, Simon shows up and tells Margo that he was checking out Jack's house and found an empty bottle of Viagra. He surmises that Julia had it to get Jack in the mood to get her pregnant. Margo informs Simon that Hal has returned but is not acting like himself. She tells him that she feels that they need to keep Hal in the dark about Jack and maybe they will find him sooner.

Hal shows up at a dark boat house. He says, "Hello, is anyone here?" James pops out of the dark and says, "Hal, my dear loyal friend." Hal says that he there to report. James asks if everyone was thrilled that he had returned and Hal tells him that they were. James says, "Good, then everything seems to be going as planned."
