Damian's time in Oakdale is drawing to a close. After nearly a year on As the World Turns, Paolo Seganti will be leaving the show. The actor first appeared as Damian in 1993. He's made several short-term appearances in recent years.
Though an As the World Turns spokesperson would not confirm,

.com has learned that
Paolo Seganti (
Damian Grimaldi) will soon exit the CBS soap.
Seganti returned to As the World Turns
in March 2009. At the time, a show source told
soapcentral
.com that Damian's return to Oakdale was an attempt to boost the show's ratings. It had been more than two years since the actor last appeared on As the World Turns.
In addition to his work in daytime, Seganti has also found success outside the soaps. He has appeared in several feature films, including
L.A. Confidential and
Tea with Mussolini.
Seganti originated the role of Damian Grimaldi in 1993.
