Maura West, ex-Andy Dixon expecting another child

As the World Turns star Maura West is expecting, but fans shouldn't expect to see Carly get pregnant. A show source says that West's pregnancy will not be written in. West debuted as Carly in April 1995.


Congratulations goes out to As the World Turns actress Maura West (Carly Tenney). The Emmy-winning actress and her husband, Scott DeFreitas (ex-Andy Dixon), are expecting their fifth child later this year.


The pair's other children are Joseph, 8; Katherine, 7; Basil, 2; and Benjamin, 12, from West's first marriage.


Word from an insider with the show is that West's pregnancy will not be written into the show's storylines. That could, of course, change down the line.


West joined the cast of As the World Turns in 1995. The past decade has been incredibly successful for the actress. She's been pre-nominated for a Daytime Emmy every year since 2001, four of which turned into full-fledged nominations. In 2007, West earned her very first Emmy trophy, a win that many pundits believed was long overdue.
