As The World Turns will bring back
Christopher Hughes next month.
When last spotted on-screen, Chris was played by
Paul Korver. Korver held down the part from September 1999 through March 2001. At the time, Korver's exit was called "storyline dictated" by a show spokesperson.
The storyline involving Chris had the character leaving Oakdale to attend medical school. The decision to exit town came after Chris professed his romantic feelings for Emily - and Emily's announcement that the feelings were not mutual.
This time around, newcomer Alan White will play the part of Christopher Hughes. He will make his debut in mid-July.
