Erica's Mardi Gras ball benefiting the American Red Cross Relief Fund kicks into gear as guests begin arriving.

As Erica prepares to leave for the ball, Tad arrives and insists on talking to her. However, when he sees who is with Erica he changes his mind and makes up an excuse about misplacing his ticket for the ball. Josh excuses himself, promising to meet up with Erica at the ball, and leaves. Outside, he answers his ringing cell phone. It's Jesse Johnson, calling him to offer him a new position. Josh declines the offer and hangs up. Speaking to himself, he wants more than for Jesse to ask him to take the job. He wants to make him beg.

Upstairs, preparing to change into her costume, Erica gets an unexpected visit from Jesse. He tells her that the affiliates are demanding Josh be named as her co-host or they will cancel her show. Erica is a bit surprised when Jesse goes on to tell her that Josh has turned down his offer. She refuses to be forced into making a decision but promises she will discuss matters with Jesse the following day. As Jesse leaves, Jack enters the room. Erica avoids telling him what Jesse told her and insists that the only thing she wants to focus on at that moment in the ball and enjoying herself.

At the ball, Adam finds JR and hands him a glass of champagne. He tries to make a toast to JR's brilliant move on insisting that Babe sign a prenuptial agreement but JR isn't in the mood to deal with his father. Elsewhere, Babe confides to Krystal that she is determined to make JR forget about the prenuptial agreement and win him back. When she has JR where she wants him, Babe plans on breaking his heart and taking their son. Later, JR fumes as Babe ignores his overtures to talk in favor of showering Josh with attention. Krystal cautions JR to not be like his father and advises him to tear up the prenup if he hopes to have a chance at winning Babe back.

Josh takes a moment to speak to a reporter, promising him a big story by the end of the night. Later, Josh reveals a bit too much when talking to Babe about Amanda.

When Tad arrives at the ball, he finds Jamie talking to Josh. When he tries to gauge the depth of their friendship, Jamie admits that he has a bad feeling about Josh. Jamie finds JR a short time later and admits that he doesn't think Amanda is guilty of everything that she's being accused of. JR is disgusted with Jamie, attributing his cloudy judgment to lust. As the night progresses, Babe insists that Jamie dance with her so that she may have a private word with him. She shocks him when she tells him that she thinks Josh may have set Amanda up for drugging Erica.

In the hotel room, Ryan fills Ethan in on the plans they have to expose all of Zach's lies. Ethan offers to be the fall guy to keep Ryan's relationship with Kendall from being further strained but Ryan declines the offer. As Di leaves to join the ball, Ethan assures Marty that he will help him leave town and escape Zach's wrath after they have obtained the proof that they need.

Zach gives Kendall a stunning diamond engagement ring while Ryan stands nearby and watches them. Later Zach confronts Ryan about what he thinks Zach is guilty of. Ryan is careful not to reveal his hand as he taunts Zach about Kendall soon learning what kind of man Zach really is.

Josh introduces Erica who makes a grand entrance. After Erica and Zach make a point of showing a united front, Erica makes a short speech about being the victim of foul play before inviting the guest to enjoy their evening. Erica also takes a moment to have a private word with Josh about her meeting with Jesse before she joins her guests.

David asks Julia to dance with him but she seems to have eyes only for Ryan, much to David's frustration.

Tad asks Di if Ryan's plans to expose Zach's lies are still in place. He is disappointed to learn that they are, commenting that Kendall seems the happiest she's ever been.

Janet, who is in disguise, visits Amanda in jail. Jonathan quickly recognizes Janet as the woman who has been setting him up and tormenting him. Janet tries to convince Jonathan that she is nothing more than a figment of his imagination but Jonathan points out that Amanda speaking to her proves she is very much a real person. When Jonathan calls for the guards, Janet makes a quick escape before everyone including Aidan and Erin can spot her. Aidan questions Amanda, who lies about Janet being there. She insists that Jonathan is crazy and was hallucinating. Aidan isn't convinced. Just then Livia arrives to tell Jonathan that he has made bail and is free to leave. Back at the apartment, Erin and Aidan learn that Jonathan intends to meet Lily at the ball. They are adamantly against it, insisting that the woman trying to frame him is not going to give up which puts him in danger. They want him to go with them, where there will be plenty of eye witnesses who can attest to his whereabouts, incase something happens. Jonathan seems to cooperate with them but as they walk out the door, he pauses and tells them that he forgot a book. He promises to meet them at the car once he as fetched it. Convinced that Jonathan is telling them the truth, Aidan and Erin leave the apartment. Jonathan quickly gathers up his costume for the ball and leaves.

Janet returns to the jail to see Amanda much to her dismay. She is further distressed when Janet warns Amanda to stay put in jail so that she has an alibi for the night. Before Amanda can question Janet further about what she plans, Janet takes off.

Dressed in costume as one of the partygoers, Janet enters the ball.

Kendall called Bianca and told her that she and Zach were flying to Paris to get married. She asked Binx to be he maid of honor. Unaware that her world was about to come down around her, Kendall continued to have a fabulous time with Zach at the ball.

Ryan and Ethan continued their quest to prove to Kendall that Zach was the cause of all that has gone wrong in the world. Ryan strong armed Kendall into the room where Marty and Ethan were with the "proof" of Zach's guilt. Marty told her that Zach was the one who caused the blackout.

Josh still acted like he was the only one supportive of Erica. Dr. Madden took Josh aside and told him that he knew what he was up to. Josh told his dad that he could do whatever he wanted to whoever he wanted.

Babe and Jamie tried to convince J.R. that Josh was the one behind all the things that had gone on in Pine Valley. The trio went to visit Amanda in jail. The lights went out at the jail and when the emergency spotlights came on, Amanda realized that it was J.R. behind the wheel of the car that hit her. She wanted Derek to arrest him.

Wednesday, February 8, 2006

Amanda tells Derek Frye that she remembers JR was the person driving the night she was struck by a car. JR laughs off Amanda's claims and turns to Babe to confirm that he was not driving that night. JR experiences a moment of panic when Babe hesitates answering. Sensing that Amanda may be right, Derek pushes Babe to answer truthfully. Instead of answering, Babe turns to JR and reminds him of all the insulting and hurtful things he's done to her lately before turning to Derek and asking him what would happen to their custody agreement if JR should go to jail. It's nothing more than a ploy to make JR squirm when. In the next breath she sticks to her story that she was the car that struck Amanda. Amanda is furious and accuses Babe of lying and tries to get Derek to believe her but to no avail. Derek points out that there is no evidence to support her claims. When JR and Babe return to the party, JR angers Babe by asking her what her next move is. Disgusted that he can't appreciate her help, Babe walks away. Later, JR looks for Babe and finds her at the top of the staircase kissing Josh.

Jonathan arrives in costume to the ball much to Lily's joy. They share a special, romantic imaginary dance and then step outside to talk. Jonathan is frustrated that everyone still things he's a bad person. Lily points out all of the good things he's done recently. Lily's defense of Jonathan and her unwavering loyalty leads Jonathan to declare his love for her. Lily is a bit taken aback. She tells him about Sam and how he had told her that when two people are in love they have sex. She is adamant that she does not want to have sex. Jonathan understands. He reminds her that what is normal for other people, doesn't suit either of them very well. To him a kiss is just a kiss. Reassured, Lily asks him to kiss her so that she can decide if she loves him back. As they slowly draw closer for their first kiss, Jack is standing nearby, with a look of disbelief on his face.

Janet tries to get Erica to help her prove Amanda is innocent of drugging her and that Josh is the guilty party. Erica points out that Amanda confessed to drugging her and that the medication used was Janet's. Erica then goes on to tell Janet that she wants what is best for Amanda and feels that she would benefit from professional help. Janet is furious at the suggestion that Amanda isn't mentally sound. After Erica rushes off to rejoin her guests, Janet remains in the room seething with anger and plotting her revenge against those she refers to as 'the haters', which now includes Erica.

Zach joins Kendall, Ryan, Ethan and Marty in the room and demands to know what is going on. Ethan and Marty quickly make their excuses and slip out of the room leaving Zach alone with Kendall and Ryan. Ryan tries to send Kendall out of the room so that he can deal with Zach alone, but she refuses to leave. She tells Ryan to leave instead. Alone with Zach, Kendall tells him about all the things Ryan and Ethan are accusing him of, believing they are nothing but malicious lies. Her worst fears are realized when instead of denying the accusations he admits to them. Kendall is furious to realize everything that Zach's act has cost her, her best friend, a child she never wanted and the presence of a man in her life that she doesn't want. Zach explains that he took such drastic measures to prevent her and Greenlee from going through with their surrogacy plans because he believed it was inviting heartache of the worst kind. Kendall asks him why he never came to her with the truth even though she gave him opportunity after opportunity to do so. Zach answers that the truth would not have changed anything. Kendall disagrees. She reminds him that Ethan kept secrets from her and she stopped loving him. Zach flinches. He asks her if she has stopped loving him. Instead of answering him, Kendall accuses him of having changed her life forever without her consent or knowledge. She asks him whom he thinks he is? Zach surprises her by telling her that he's just like her. He points out that she made a similar decision by using her egg to give Greenlee the baby she desperately wanted. It was an act borne out of love. He did what he did to spare Kendall of the pain she was inviting by bearing a child and then having to give it up. He goes on to tell her that he loves her and wants to marry her, reminding Kendall that Bianca is in Paris waiting for them. Rather than respond, Kendall walks out of the room. Ethan, standing nearby in the hallway, walks into the room to confront his father.

In the hallway, Ryan stops Kendall.

Jamie finds Erica at the party and pleads with her to help get Amanda out of jail. He's convinced something bad is about to happen and worries that Amanda may be the only one who can prevent it. Jamie goes on to accuse Josh of being the real culprit who drugged Erica. Erica refuses to believe it and starts to turn away with Josh but Greg shocks them all when he tells Erica that Josh is indeed the one who drugged her. Josh is furious with his father's betrayal.

Rejoining the Mardi Gras soiree, a mystery guest enters and takes in the scene, including the latest of confrontations between Babe and JR. Babe, absorbed in a make out session with Del, initially seems oblivious to his approach. JR warns Del not to get involved with Babe, but Del thinks JR is the one missing out. JR offers to give Del money to leave Babe alone, since being paid off is Del's MO. While Del would be more than happy to take money off of JR's hands, JR rescinds the offer faster than it was made. Moments later, Opal shows up to reclaim her date, swearing that Del is too good to waste his time with people like Babe. They make their way back down to the dance floor, leaving JR and Babe to continue arguing. JR swears that he doesn't want their relationship to be over, but Babe reminds him that she would never sign away her son. However, if he really wants to marry her, sans pre-nup, she'd agree to do it tonight. JR doesn't like the idea that Babe might be playing him, but she said that it's about time she gave it to him straight: he can do what he likes to her - trash talk her, pull the stunts that Adam pulled on Dixie - but she will never give up on their son. As Di listens from the floor below and the mystery guest listens from the stairs, she promises that she will be a part of her son's life until the day she dies, and stalks off.

Although Erica seems determined not to believe the accusations, Jamie and Greg continue to try to convince her that Amanda told the truth at the beginning - Josh is the one who is guilty of drugging her. Erica starts to run off and Josh tries to help her in that endeavor, but Greg begs her to stay and listen. She tells him that she has no reason to believe anything he tells her, prompting Greg to reveal that Josh has been out to get her since the day she hired him. Unwilling to let the discussion disrupt the party, she takes the three of them to a private room upstairs. She makes it clear that if neither Jamie nor Greg have any concrete proof that Josh is really her nemesis (Amanda's claim does not qualify as far as Erica is concerned), then she wants the conversation to end. Jamie mentions that since Josh finished med school, he would be perfectly aware of the effects the drug he stole would have on Erica. Josh denies all of their claims, citing Jamie's lingering anger about Babe, and his father's anger about his son deserting medicine as excuses. Erica then claims to be completely aware of Josh's capabilities as well as Greg's capacity for lying. Greg then drops a bombshell - he reminds Josh of the conversation they had earlier in the evening about Erica's career. He says that he was afraid that he wouldn't be able to relay it verbatim, so he took the liberty of recording it. He plays part of the recording, where Josh says that Erica would fall from grace and be a has-been, while he would be on top. Erica, horrified that she'd been taken in, stares at the recorder in shocked silence. Josh, enraged at having been exposed, attacks both his father and Jamie. Greg reminds his son that the confrontation was solely about Josh's secret motives. He then tells Erica that he got the idea to record the conversation from Josh himself - and further reveals that Josh bugged her office, and had known her every move. Erica removes herself from the mix as Josh tries to quickly come up with some sort of excuse. She places a call to Derek, and asks that he release Amanda and bring her to the Mardi Gras ball. She tells him that she has new evidence in her drugging case.

In the courtyard, Jackson rushes over and breaks up the tentative first kiss between Jonathan and his daughter. Although Lily screams and begs him to stop, Jack appears as though he can't hear her. He tells Jonathan that if he touches Lily again, he will have much more to fear from Jack than a little shake up. Lily continues to try to get her father to release Jonathan and walk away but his ire is too great. She announces that Jonathan is her boyfriend and that he can kiss her anytime he wants. This only fuels Jack's anger, and he demands that Lily go inside, find her brother and have him take her home. She refuses just as Reggie, Aidan and Erin show up. Reggie immediately goes into protective mode and asks if Jonathan hurt her. Jack wants to have a one on one talk with Jonathan but Aidan and Erin become a physical buffer and keep Jack from attacking again. Unable to handle them anymore, Lily runs off with Reggie on her heels. Jack demands to know why Jonathan is out of jail and Livia, newly arrived to the scene, informs Jack that while Jonathan made bail, she instructed him to stay away from Lily and the party. Jack snidely starts to run down just how obedient the Laverys are, but that gets Erin going and she starts to get in his face. Unaffected, Jack reminds her that Braeden raped his sister, Ryan destroyed Greenlee and Jonathan likes to rape and pillage. He makes a very stern proclamation that there is no way Jonathan will ever get to his daughter again without going through him. Jonathan tries to take off to find her but Jack grabs him and tries to detain him. Jonathan manages to spin out of his grasp, just in time for Ryan's arrival. He asks about what is going on and Jack accuses Jonathan of molesting Lily. This inflammatory language upsets everyone, and Jonathan tries to make it clear that he was only kissing Lily, and only because she asked. Julia, who had been following Ryan, shows up on the scene and immediately asks if Jonathan is okay. Jack is horrified that Julia could be so nice to him, especially after what Jonathan did to Edmund. Jonathan reveals that Julia has been his Life Skills teacher, and Jack turns a cold eye to Julia, enraged that she didn't feel it was necessary to fill him in on that tidbit of information. Just then, Reggie returns, admitting that he lost Lily during the chase. Everyone starts to scatter in different directions, but Ryan stops Jonathan from going. Both he and Livia inform him that it was a bad idea for him to come to the ball, and it would be a bad idea for him to join the search party. Jonathan insists that he has to look for Lily because he loves her.

After Kendall leaves Zach, she runs into Ryan in the hall and he whisks her off into a separate room. He asks her if Zach confessed and, when met with her distraught silence, reconfirms that Zach was the main person behind the blackout. He then apologizes for leaving her alone with Zach, and for everything that has happened in the aftermath of the blackout. He hugs her in an attempt to comfort her, and tells her that he will help her in any way that she wants. The mere words enrage Kendall and she slaps him across the face. She points out that his good deed was just revenge in different clothes. She admits that she is aware that he blames her and Zach for Greenlee leaving town, and she asks if this is revenge enough. Ryan tries to protest, saying that he exposed Zach's misdeeds for her own good. Kendall tells him that Zach was for her own good - as was her wedding, and her happily ever after. Instead, according to Kendall, Ryan's need to be self-righteous wrecked her life completely. He tells her that she can hate him if she needs to, but he couldn't, in good conscience, let her marry Zach again without knowing the whole truth. Kendall confirms that she does indeed hate him for what he'd done. Ryan asks if she could have really been happy not knowing, and letting Zach get away with what he did. She tells him that she could have been - she wishes that she had never found out. She also says that she is sick and tired of people protecting her when she doesn't want or need it. She blames him for stealing her last chance at true happiness, tells him that she will never forgive him for it - and walks out.

Zach and his son face off, and Zach congratulates a smug Ethan on a ruse well played. Ethan gleefully says that he is pleased that Kendall finally did what she should have done long ago - leave. Zach asks if Ethan really hates him, and Ethan confirms as much. Ethan then tells dear old dad that if he loved Kendall half as much as his son, then he now knows the pain suffered on the docks in Florida. Zach tells him that Alexander is applauding him from hell, and that he has now proven himself to be a true Cambias. Ethan declares that he loves his lineage, but wishes he could have inherited it without being connected to Zach. He then invites his father to go back to the party, where he can enjoy his pain - because he earned it. Without another word, Zach walks out of the room, leaving Ethan with a less that joyous expression on his face.

As Janet descends into the ballroom and has a quick consult with MirrorJanet, Adam and Brooke enjoy spending a few moments together, and Krystal warns David not to get too happy about the apparent failure of Babe's plan.

Kendall reenters the ballroom and runs into Julia. She asks how Kendall is doing, but Kendall is confused as why Julia cares. Julia admits that she spoke with Ryan earlier and that he filled her in. Not surprised, Kendall tells her long-time rival that she can have the father of her baby - and she can take him far, far away. She disappears into the crowd again and Zach, after descending the stairs moments after, starts to trail her. He ends up in the wine cellar, but after realizing that Kendall isn't there, he starts to leave. A noise alerts him, and he opens a side door and finds Lily on the floor rocking and repeating 'love hurts'. Zach manages to get her to calm down, and then asks her what she means. She reveals that while her father loves her and her boyfriend loves her, her father doesn't want her to be with her boyfriend. Zach tells her that things aren't always that simple. She then reveals the identity of her boyfriend, and tells a stunned Zach that she doesn't understand why, when she knows that Jonathan is better, would her father want to keep her away from the person that makes her happy. Zach reminds her that Jonathan did a lot of bad things last year. She tells him that she can't forget how he scared her and locked her in a cave. But she also knows that he's better and he's sorry about what he did - and asks why people have such a hard time with forgiveness. Zach tells her that it's difficult for some people to let go of the past, and that will always get in the way or forgiveness. They talk a bit more, until Lily feels ready to rejoin the party. She states her intention to go find Jonathan, but Zach urges her to find her father first. She can't understand why, especially since her father never listens to her. Zach tells her that she has a good father, and she should never want to lose that.

As JR ends his dance with Anita, he observes Babe and Krystal talking. Unbeknownst to him, Babe fills her mother in on the fight they had, and how she thinks she might have to let him go. Krystal asks how she knows JR won't really give up on her. Babe admits that she holds no such knowledge...but she won't give in to his demands on the off chance that she might lose her son. After Babe walks away, JR turns and runs into Di and Tad. Di tries to express concern for what she overheard, but JR is no closer to letting her back into his life. He accuses Tad of trying to substitute a fake for the original, and reminds them both that Di is not his mother. Tad retorts that Dixie is gone, and JR caustically replies that he is glad one of them remembers that fact. He walks away and runs into Kendall. He attempts to get her on board with a dance, which would serve as a bit of revenge against Babe - but Kendall isn't so easily fooled. She'd seen him practically drooling all over Babe throughout the night, and she refuses to get caught up in another game where he ends up miserable.

Jonathan lists all of the reasons why he feels that he loves Lily, and why he wants to be with her. Ryan asks if he can see the problem with what he wants. Jonathan admits that he knows Jack doesn't like him, and says that Jack can yell at him and push him all he wants - it won't change how he feels toward Lily. Ryan tries to encourage his little brother to stay put, as Jonathan finding Lily is the last thing that Jack would want. Jonathan replies that when you love someone, you are supposed to watch out for them and protect them, even if it does make people angry.

As he dances with Di, Tad watches the exchange between Kendall and JR. He is soon distracted by the sight of Amanda's arrival with Derek Frye. Amanda looks around briefly, but Derek leads her upstairs. Tad excuses himself and heads upstairs to join them. After a few snide comments from Josh about how they might as well invite the whole town and make popcorn, Erica asks Amanda to tell them her whole story, explaining why she thinks Josh was behind all of the things that went wrong. Josh tries to trip her up by warning her that they will build a stronger case against her if she gets anything wrong, but Erica and Jamie demand his silence. Amanda notes that the erased master tape was Josh's doing, that he gave her the wrong address so that she would miss the interview with Geraldo (but was miraculously able to fill in), and that he was the one that prepared the cup of tea that he then asked Amanda to give Erica. Erica apologizes to a grateful Amanda and says that they should have listened to her from the beginning. She then turns to Derek, hands over the tape that will corroborate their claim, and asks that he arrest Josh. Josh announces that he never confessed to any crime, and what they have against him doesn't amount to much. Even though Erica fires him, Josh stands strong in the belief that they have nothing to hold him. Knowing that he's right, Derek makes no move to arrest him. Erica is flabbergasted and slightly defeated. Amanda thanks her for finally listening, and Derek suggests that they all give Erica some time alone. They all file out but Tad. Erica urges him to follow suit, stating that she needs time alone to recompose herself before going back downstairs. Tad tells her that he can't oblige because he has news about Josh that she needs to know first. Erica is in no mood, but Tad is relentless in his insistence. She finally caves, and Tad reveals that Josh is actually her son.

Ethan meets up with Simone and fills her in on how everything went down. He tells her that he'd been waiting for that moment since the day his father married Kendall, and that part of him feels great. She tells him that she's glad it's over, and begs him to let their relationship be enough to sustain him now.

As the mystery guest looks on, Di confronts Babe about the argument she had with JR earlier. Babe declines to get the third degree from Di, but Di notes that even though JR hates her, she still loves him. She just wanted to make sure that whatever Babe was doing, it's because she loves JR.

In the courtyard, Adam finds his son and reminds him that ending things for good with Babe was the right decision. He then asks if everything is back on track - and JR tells him that it is: he plans to marry Babe, right after he tears up the pre-nup. Adam calls JR's latest plan, which includes giving Dixie's star necklace back to Babe, stupid and an insult to Dixie's memory. JR tells his father that he can never forget the things his father did to his mother while she was alive and therefore, Adam has no right to speak about her memory. As the mystery guest looks on, JR tells his father that he thinks his mother would be proud of him for giving the necklace to the woman he loves.

Lily returns to the party and finds her father. She tells him that Zach encouraged her to talk to him about Jonathan, but Jack can't handle that right now. Jonathan sees them from across the room, and starts to go check on her, to make sure she is okay. Ryan holds him back, noting that they need some time alone. Jack suggests that his daughter leave Pine Valley for a while...perhaps go back to her old school. Lily is visibly upset by the idea that her father wants to send her away.

Jamie, Derek and Amanda go back to the party and Jamie asks Derek what the timeline is on bringing Josh in for what he did. He also asks if Amanda has to go back to jail. Derek can't pinpoint anything specific on Josh, and needs to consult with the DA about Amanda. While he makes that phone call, Jamie turns around to find out that Amanda has disappeared. He takes off to find her. On the other side of the ballroom, Josh confronts his father about his betrayal.

As Janet surfaces in the wine cellar, and makes a rambling toast justifying hurting people that don't love you, Zach catches up with Kendall on the main floor and tells her that he loves her and that he won't give up on her.

Friday, February 10, 2006

At the ball, everyone seems to be having a good time, except JR and Adam. JR tells his father he has no right to use his own mother's memory against him, then walks away as Dixie hides in the bushes. JR grabs Babe outside to give her back his mother's necklace, but Babe thinks it is a scheme. Babe decides to wear the necklace, but still doesn't understand why. JR tells Babe he wants to marry her without a prenuptial agreement. She gives him a kiss, indicating she will marry him. When Babe asks JR why he changed his mind about the prenup, JR answers that a good talk with his father. Dixie gets tears in her eyes as she listens to Babe and JR proclaim their love for one another. Babe rushes in to tell Krystal that JR proposed marriage again. After hugging her mother, Babe goes back to JR as Di and Adam overlook the couple share another kiss. Of course, Adam is angry at the reunion, but Di is happy. Babe tells JR she has a prenuptial agreement for him to sign before they rush to the altar. Babe claims that the agreement states they will share joint custody if for some reason, the marriage does not work. Dixie overhears Adam listing down Di's schemes, including impersonating her, by the open doors.

Josh is upset at his father for exposing the truth to score points with Erica. Greg claims he exposed the truth for his son's own good, but Josh is thinks his father wants to blow his career to bits. Greg tells Josh that one day, when he has son, he will understand the desire to correct a child's mistake. Josh thinks Greg is more concerned about his ego, but Greg continues to say his betrayal was not about egos.

Erica is stunned when Tad tells her that she is Josh's mother. Tad reminds Erica that this is not the first time he has told her things that seem surreal, such as Miranda being alive. Erica says she only gave birth to two children - Kendall and Bianca. Tad explains about the blood test, using Erica's saliva and Josh's blood, which verifies she is Josh's mother. Plus, Tad adds that he took Greg's coffee cup and he is not Josh's father. When Erica wonders who the real father is, Tad informs them it is his brother, Jeff Martin. Tad thinks that Greg took Erica's embryo when she went in for her abortion. Josh was born exactly seven months after appointment also, Tad says. He also adds that after speaking to Josh, he is pretty sure Josh has no idea about what is going on. Tad is waiting on the DNA results for Jeff, but Erica promises to handle this news herself. When she goes downstairs, she overhears Josh telling Greg that Erica is nothing to him.

Jonathan tells Ryan that Lily needs him, but Ryan, Erin and Aidan urge Jonathan to wait until Lily fixes things with her father. Jonathan waits impatiently for Lily to give him "a sign" so he knows if she should stay or go. Aidan tries to explain to Jonathan why Jackson is so protective of Lily, but Jonathan does not listen.

Lily tells Jackson she will run away if he makes her leave Pine Valley. She tells her father that he only thinks she needs to be protected because she is stupid. Jackson says his daughter is not stupid, but she trusts easily and is so kind to everyone. Lily claims she wants to make her own choices, including dating Jonathan. Jackson tells Lily that if Jonathan ever comes near her, he will get a restraining order against Jonathan. Jackson asks Lily to promise never to see Jonathan again, but she can't do that. Jonathan rushes over to try to help Lily, but it only makes Jackson more upset. Ryan agrees that Lily and Jonathan should not see each other, which makes Jonathan push himself away from his big brother.

Zach tells Kendall they are not over, but Kendall thinks he ended their relationship when he took the lights out. Zach claims he will wait for Kendall to get over her anger, but she tells him not to hold his breath. She stomps over to Ryan and demands that he dance with her. Ryan realizes Kendall only wants to dance with him for revenge, but he takes the opportunity to stick it to Zach again. Julia looms from upstairs, checking out Ryan and Kendall. Ryan tries to convince Kendall why he blew her world apart, but she tells him he should have pretended to be dead. Ethan goes up to Kendall and asks if she has forgiven them because of the dance she shared with Ryan. Kendall makes it clear she thinks Ethan only teamed up with Ryan to stick it to Zach, not to help her.

Simone finds Zach outside. She tells him that although what Zach did was odd, she understands why he did it. Simone realizes Zach did it out of love. She also hates that Ethan dislikes Zach, when it is so clear he loves his son. Zach walks off as Simone trails off that it is up to the father and son to fix their problems.

Janet tells her evil twin she has a huge surprise for Pine Valley and takes swigs of champagne. Jamie frantically searches for Amanda, who has found her mother in the wine cellar. Amanda tells her mother that Erica cleared her name because Josh is the real druggist. Now, everyone knows she did not commit the crime. Amanda suggests getting revenge on Josh, not everyone else in Pine Valley. But first, Amanda wants her and Janet to stay low until they can pin Janet's crimes on Josh. Janet does not seem convinced that Pine Valley's residents will always be on Janet's side. She uses a wrench to begin loosening the pipes so gas will fill the basement and eventually blow up. When Amanda asks her mother about the innocent people at the ball who did nothing to her, Janet says they will only help Pine Valley learn a lesson. Amanda lashes out and calls her mother insane because she has ruined her life. She says she loves her mother, but Amanda is not the reason Janet should go and hurt people. Amanda threatens to tell the cops what her mother has done unless she goes with her to get help. As they walk out, Janet is able to knock out Amanda with one quick movement to her neck. Janet is able to get the gas going, then drags Amanda out of the building in a wheelbarrow. As the two women leave, the hiss of gas leaking into the wine cellar continues…
