Greenlee drops a bombshell at the Thanksgiving dinner. She announces to all that the egg which was fertilized with Ryan's sample was Kendall's egg, not Greenlee's. Therefore, the child that Kendall is carrying is her own child. Ryan is shocked at the realization that Kendall is carrying their child not he and Greenlee's. Kendall is momentarily stunned into silence giving Greenlee and David the opportunity to lay out all of the evidence that they have recently gathered supporting their claims. When Greenlee accuses Kendall of stealing her baby, Kendall finally finds her voice and tries to explain why she did what she did. She insists that she did not steal Greenlee's child. That the night she was implanted with the fertilized egg she acted on instinct and fear that if without having Ryan's child to live for, Greenlee would not be able to deal with her grief over losing Ryan. Kendall goes on to explain that the night after the power outage she went to the clinic out of concern and discovered the worst had happened. Greenlee's embryos were no longer viable and Ryan's samples were slowly deteriorating. It was never a conscious decision but rather one motivated by love for a friend that prompted Kendall to insist that Dr. Madden help Kendall give Greenlee Ryan's child by using Kendall's eggs. Feeling betrayed, Greenlee is too angry to believe that Kendall was motivated by anything other than revenge. Greenlee accuses Kendall of wanting to hurt Greenlee because Ryan had chosen her over Kendall. Greenlee is convinced that Kendall intentionally used her eggs so that she, not Greenlee, could be the biological mother of Ryan's child. Kendall denies the accusations but her words fall on deaf ears. Disgusted with Kendall, Greenlee tells her that she will never forgive Kendall for what she has done and then rushes out of the room. Ryan follows his wife while Jackson turns his wrath on Kendall. He berates her for what she did to Greenlee. David picks up where Jackson left off until Erica intervenes on her daughter's behalf. Turning to Kendall, Erica tries to comfort Kendall but Kendall is too distraught to be comforted. She quickly makes her excuses and flees the room with Zach closely following her. As Dr. Madden begins to leave, Erica stops him and demands answers.

Ryan follows Greenlee home where she immediately begins to pack her belongings. When Ryan asks her how long she intends to stay away, Greenlee makes it clear that she has no plans to ever return to Pine Valley.

Lily leaves the family gathering when the hostility begins to make her uncomfortable. She ends up in the woods by her tree but is not alone. Jonathan too has found his way to the tree in an effort to seek some solitude. Leery of Jonathan, Lily asks him why he's at her tree. He explains that he was hiding from all of the people who are trying to shoot him. Lily admits that she is hiding herself and tells him about what happened at the dinner. They end up talking about how to deal with difficult situations. Encouraged by Lily's understanding, Jonathan asks her if she would be willing to help him reading people. Lily becomes uncomfortable by the suggestion and runs away.

After leaving the Thanksgiving gathering at the Valley Inn, Josh is driving down the road when he spots someone stumbling along the roadside. It's Amanda. Josh pulls over and gets out of the car. Amanda appears disoriented and confused. She accuses Josh of trying to run her over. Josh tries help Amanda but when he mentions the Chandlers she begins to rant and pushes him away, accusing him of being Babe's ally. Not in the mood to deal with Amanda's drama, Josh begins to leave but Amanda stops him. She confesses that she has no idea how she ended up walking on the side of the road and admits that she's afraid there is something seriously wrong with her. Josh offers to take her to the hospital but Amanda wants none of it. When Josh tells her to stop with the theatrics and accept the help she asked for, Amanda silently walks to the passenger side of his car and gets in.

Janet is upset that Amanda isn't spending Thanksgiving with her and Trevor. Later, she breaks a wish bone and is excited that the break of the bone indicates that her wish will come true.

In a nearby restroom, Kendall splashes her face with some cold water. When she is handed a towel, she looks up to find Zach holding it out to her.

Someone slips something into the soup while Winifred is out of the kitchen.

JR plays the video of Di poll dancing in a strip club while everyone gathered at the Chandler mansion watches with varying degrees of shock. All except Di, who seems resigned to this latest revelation of her past. Adam and Palmer take delight in ridiculing Di until Krystal and Tad are forced to force them to relent. JR meanwhile informs Di that he hired a private investigator to dig up more dirt on her. Di quietly tells JR that he's wasting his money because she would be more than happy to tell him anything he would like to know. She invites everyone to take a seat while she tells them how she innocently stumbled onto a career in poll dancing. Initially she thought she was answering an ad for a model but it turned out it was for a dancer. The money was good so she decided to give it a try to discovered she was quite good at it. However, after a couple of years of dancing she quit and ended up with Kevin. The rest is history. Krystal admits to making some questionable career choices herself in an effort to downplay Di's job as a stripper. Di appreciates the effort. Tad, Krystal and Babe each express disapproval over JR's little stunt and quickly leave the room along with the rest of the guests including Di. Babe returns a short while later to find JR in a pensive mood standing on the veranda. She invites him inside hoping to tempt him by telling him that the food was superb including the soup which she had two helpings off. JR declines the offer. Babe keeps him company and then later, brings him out a piece of pie to eat. As she tries to hand him the food, she begins to behave oddly. When JR asks her what is wrong with her, Babe tells him that she's having difficulty breathing.

Inside, Adam stands nearby and listens as Krystal tries to talk to Palmer about an upcoming board meeting. Adam warns Krystal that inviting Palmer to help her is rather like asking the fox to guard the henhouse. Suddenly, Adam begins to act peculiar. Krystal realizes almost immediately that something is seriously wrong with Adam and joins him on the sofa to examine him. Adam complains of difficulty breathing and an inability to move his limbs.

Tad follows Di. When he catches up with her, Di tells him that she feels that she deserved what JR did to her. She admits that it's been difficult for her but that she learned something about herself over the past few weeks. She can't be broken.

Erica demanded to know why Greg had targeted her and her family. He told her that although she would never believe it, certain pockets of the universe did not revolve around her. She again asked what she could have possibly done to him and he told her that he was not petty like that. She told him that she knew he was hiding something and that she would find out what it was.

David told Jack that he should be happy that no Lavery would be born into his family. Jack went on about how hurt and vulnerable Greenlee was and if she was with Ryan he was probably brain washing her. David told Jack to trust Greenlee, she could handle herself. Jack told Dr. Madden that he had mangled Greenlee's life , but Dr. Madden said they he and Kendall had no reason to apologize.

As Greenlee continued packing, Ryan tried to convince her not to leave Pine Valley. Greenlee told him that her husband stabbed her in the heart, her best friend stabbed her in the heart and her heart was now out of business. Ryan told her that she didn't need to run, but Greenlee told him that from the time that she thought he was dead, she had changed. Holding her arm, Ryan begged Greenlee to let him help her. He asked her not to make the same mistakes he did. He said that he knew that they could make it and that he was strong enough for both of them. He professed his love and told her to believe in their love. With tears in his eyes and on his knees, he begged her again to give him another chance. He said he would do anything and she told him to bring back her babies. He told her that he couldn't do that, but he would have his vasectomy reversed and they could get a surrogate to carry the baby. He said he wasn't asking for instant promises and that he couldn't change the pain he caused, but he would go with her wherever she went. She told Ryan that she didn't think it was a good idea, but Ryan continued to tell her that would do whatever it took to make everything right. Just then Kendall came to the door.

Josh took Amanda to the hospital and told Anita that he found her wandering around disoriented. Anita insisted Amanda stay and go through some tests. Meanwhile, back at Chandler Mansion, Palmer made jokes about Adam's attack. Babe told J.R. that she couldn't breathe, but he told her that her tricks weren't going to work. Krystal called J.R. into the house to see what was wrong with Adam and he told them to call 911. Krystal started feeling the effects of the poison when J.R. went back for Babe. At the hospital, Joe asked J.R. and Krystal questions and told them they would run tests. Joe took Krystal by the hand and said she needed to have tests run also. She said she would as soon as she learned of Adam and Babe's condition. Amanda came around the corner and J.R. immediately accused her of poisoning his family. Amanda denied the charges and Josh told him to back off. J.R. asked Amanda if Josh was her latest sucker and told Josh she was expensive and so not worth it. J.R. told Adam and Joe that Amanda poisoned them and he wanted her arrested. Joe told him that they had no proof. David busted into Babe's room and wanted to know what happened. Babe told him that she wanted nothing to do with him. David told her he was not going. Babe told him she was tired of his daddy love and that she was a grown woman and didn't want him messing up her life. David told Babe that she was right and that she was not a child and he should have respected that. Krystal came in and Babe told her she didn't need to call security. David said that he would prove that he would be the father she wanted him to be. He said he would offer nothing but unconditional love with no micro-managing, no guerrilla warfare and no preemptive strikes.

Kendall asked Zach why he was being so nice about the baby plot. Kendall told Zach to giver her his best shot. Erica came in and told Zach to leave. He said that it was up to his wife if he stayed or left. Kendall told him that if she didn't talk to Erica, she would just hound her until she did. Zach left and waited in the bar. Erica told Kendall that she loved her unconditionally. Kendall began crying and said that she really did this for Greenlee. Erica asked if somewhere in her heart, if she needed to keep a spark of Ryan in this world. Kendall told Erica that she had no plans to keep the baby as her own. Again, she told Erica that the baby was for Greenlee. Kendall left and ran right into Jack. Kendall said she had to get out of there and ran out. Erica told Jack that Kendall was devastated and the last thing she needed was to be attacked.

Zach was in the bar with Myrtle and he told her that he was nobody's hero, but Myrtle told him that he was somebody's husband. She told Zach that if he didn't tell Kendall how he felt, he was a fool. With his chin on the bar, Zach mulled over what Myrtle had told him.

Jogging in the evening, Erin ends up in the park alone and is alarmed when she senses she is not alone. She begins to run away but trips and stumbles. Erin turns to discover Aidan approaching her. Still a bit startled, Erin lashes out at him and warns him to stay away from her and her family. Aidan is more than happy to leave her alone and tells her as much. Realizing that she might have overreacted, Erin apologizes for her outburst. Aidan assures her that he's trying to keep an open mind about Jonathan but is having some difficulty understanding why she's so protective of Jonathan. Erin explains that she is compelled to dedicate so much of herself to Jonathan because she cares for her brother deeply. As they prepare to go their separate ways, Aidan advises Erin to start jogging during the day instead of at night. Erin tells him that she actually runs three times a day because it helps her unwind and relax. They begin to brag about their running ability which leads Aidan to challenge Erin to a run. Erin accepts the challenge and takes off with Aidan close on her heels.

Erica enlists Tad's professional help. She wants Tad to dig into Greg Madden's past and find out what his connection to Erica is and more importantly why he seems to have a grudge against her. Tad is initially reluctant, having already investigated Dr. Madden without uncovering anything even remotely questionable about him as a professional or on a personal level. Erica manages to convince Tad that there is something that Dr. Madden is hiding. Tad promises Erica that if there is a secret to be uncovered in Greg's past, he will expose it.

Greg confronts his son with the obvious truth that he helped Greenlee gain access to Kendall's medical records. When Greg beings preaching to him, Josh stops him with the reminder that Greg was equally deceptive and has no room to judge Josh's actions. Greg defends his decision to help Kendall by reminding Josh of what the goal was. Both he and Kendall wanted to give Greenlee the baby she desperately wanted. Josh isn't impressed. He points out that a child deserves to know who its parents are regardless of the circumstances. Greg vehemently disagrees. He feels that nurture not biology is what makes someone a parent. Fed up with what he sees as a god complex, Josh tells Greg to stop meddling in people's lives. Josh doesn't see Greg's motivation in helping couples have children as altruistic but as selfish because he's only f trying to recapture the empowering feeling he had when he helped to save his own wife's life by giving her a miracle baby. Before leaving, Josh warns his father that he knows he's still keeping a secret that concerns Erica and he's determined to discover what it is. Tad is sitting nearby and appears to have overheard the exchange.

Jack and Zach discuss Kendall. Zach tires to defend her to Jack but Jack is too angry to listen. He is convinced that Kendall intentionally tried to have Ryan's baby because she's still obsessed with her ex-lover. Zach can't believe Jack's narrow view especially when Jack asks him why he's now defending Kendall instead of doing so earlier when Greenlee confronted her. Zach explains that Kendall didn't want his help earlier because it was painfully obvious that she was waiting for someone in her family to come to her defense. Equally obvious was the reluctance by everyone to do so. Zach asks Jack what he will do after the baby is born. Will he reject it because Ryan is the child's father?

Jack finds Erica at her penthouse where she is standing by the balcony doors looking at the nighttime skyline, pensive. When he admits that he doesn't know how to get their family back on track, Erica reminds him that if he needs an outlet for his anger, he should focus it in Greg Madden's direction, not Kendall's.

Kendall begs Greenlee to reconsider leaving town. Too filled with rage over what she sees as a betrayal on Kendall's part, Greenlee refuses to consider Kendall's request and takes the opportunity to berate Kendall for lying to her about the baby. While Ryan tries to get Kendall to leave, Kendall tearfully makes a desperate attempt to get through to Greenlee. She gives Ryan and Greenlee the ultrasound picture of the baby and reminds them that they have a son who needs them. For the baby's sake, Greenlee needs to reconsider leaving town. Greenlee can't get past the lies and betrayals. She explains that she can no longer trust either of them and that she feels absolutely destroyed inside. For her own sanity, she needs to get away from Pine Valley and the two people she can no longer bear to look at, Ryan and Kendall. After Greenlee walks out, Ryan turns to Kendall and lashes out. He tells her that her interference made matters worse and asks her why she can't just leave them alone. He leaves without waiting for an answer. Ryan catches up to Greenlee in the parking garage where he once again tries to convince Greenlee to reconsider. Greenlee refuses. Desperate, Ryan offers to leave town with her but Greenlee doesn't want him to leave with her. She tells him that if he follows her, he will just make things worse than they already are. She is determined to end her marriage to him and nothing Ryan says is able to sway her. Ryan has no choice but to watch Greenlee gets into her car and drive away. Kendall walks out moments later. Hurt and angry, Ryan turns on her and asks her how she could betray Greenlee in such a horrible fashion. Backed into a corner, Kendall reminds Ryan how he was the catalyst to everything that happened. If not for Ryan's actions, Greenlee would have never been in the desperate state that she was in, practically willing herself to die. Kendall tells him that she did whatever she needed to keep her best friend from giving up on life, including giving her the baby she so desperately wanted. Before Ryan can respond, Kendall walks away, crying.

Kendall returns to her townhouse and opens the door. Emotionally distraught, she drops to the ground, sobbing. Zach finds her and quietly wraps her up in his coat and offers her the comfort of his arms.

Amanda sits down in the living room of the boarding house, intent on enjoying some soup. JR startles her when he speaks up from his perch on the stairs, warning her against eating things without knowing the contents. She reminds him once again that she had nothing to do with what happened at the Thanksgiving dinner at his house, but oddly enough - he doesn't believe her. She asks if he has come to finish the job (of killing her) that Babe botched the first time. Babe then reveals herself from the shadows behind Amanda, telling her ex-best friend that she is capable of finishing the job herself. Babe tells her that she almost fed Little Adam some of the soup, and in her mind, that puts Amanda on the top of her hit list. JR backs up the threat, also in defense of their son. Amanda continues to deny any wrongdoing, saying that if either of them lay a hand on her, she will scream. JR informs her that they have other ways of dealing with her - none of which require them to touch her. JR lets Chief Frye in and demands that Amanda be arrested. Derek tells them that he checked out their allegations - he interviewed the staff at the house as well as checking with the lab - and there are no grounds for arrest. Babe and JR can't believe it, especially since Amanda had been at the house, making threats about payback. Amanda is visibly relieved, and Derek asks if there is anything she needs from him before he leaves. She doesn't, and Derek takes his leave. Amanda tells the on-again, off-again couple to leave before she calls Derek back so that he can arrest them for assault. Unafraid, JR warns her that if she attacks Babe or any other member of his family again, he will make her wish that the car had killed her.

Ryan is alone on the beach when he hears a woman screaming in the distance. After hesitating for a moment to take his shoes off, he runs toward the sound, intent on helping. He manages to drag a kicking and screaming Julia back to the beach, but she blasts him for doing so. He told her that he thought she was in trouble, and what he saw backed up his perception. She tells him that the screams her heard were out of frustration - she had lost her necklace and had been diving to try to find it. She then demands that he hand over her towel and clothes, and then turn his back so she can change. He does as she asks, and then questions why she would be swimming in the middle of the night, in freezing cold water. She informs him that the conditions make it hard to breathe, let alone think - and that's the point. She finishes changing and throws him the towel. As he dries off, she takes in his disposition and notes that he seems to be in trouble as well. Ryan tells her that Greenlee is gone for good - and she expresses her condolences, saying that they should have had time to work things out. Ryan then says that he came out to the beach, thinking about the night he rode his bike off the cliff and into the ocean and survived. He believes that he survived so that he could make right all of the things he did wrong. He thought that if he believed in it enough, he could take his life back. Julia tells him that she is finding out from experience that what he thought is not possible. Ryan tells her about the baby, and the revelations Greenlee shared before leaving town. He can't quite wrap his mind around the thought that Kendall would really give up the baby without ever telling Greenlee that the baby wasn't genetically hers. Julia tells him that she can't begin to understand what happened, but admits that she is curious as to what he will do next. Ryan tells her that he isn't sure, which prompts her to ask what he thinks will happen with the baby. Ryan says that he had a hard enough time picturing being someone's father, looking at someone who depended on him. However, he was starting to change because of Greenlee. He admits that he loves her enough to never want to deny her the family she craved. Now, with her gone, nothing makes sense. He goes on to say that he has no idea how to go on the journey without her. Julia thinks he will be okay as a parent, but that if he really wants to be with Greenlee, he should go after her and win her back. Ryan tells her of the promise that he made to respect whatever choice Greenlee made, and says that he knows they said their final goodbyes. Finding her in any amount of time, or in another lifetime, wouldn't change that fact. Julia then tells him that she wishes the words of comfort people often said - time heals...this too shall pass - were true. Because they aren't, Julia admits to going for quick fixes, like her midnight swim in freezing waters. Ryan apologizes for interrupting, but Julia knows he meant well. She informs him that the necklace she lost was a present from Noah - something that she kept with her throughout the program, even though she couldn't wear it. She feels like losing it now is kind of a slap in the face, but also thinks that perhaps it's a sign to move forward instead of hanging on to the past. Moments later, they decide to part ways. Before they do, Ryan sees something glinting in the sand. He retrieves it, and Julia gleefully confirms that it is indeed the necklace she thought she lost. After he puts it on her and she thanks him with a hug, she asks if he needs a ride. He tells her that he has his bike and that he wants to stay on the beach for some additional time to reflect.

Erica and Jack take a moment to reconnect, promising to see each other and their family through whatever hardships come their way. They are interrupted by a call on Jack's cell phone. He answers and finds Greenlee on the other end. She tearfully informs him that she's left Pine Valley and she can never return - because Kendall broke her heart. Jack begs her to turn around and come back so they can talk about it, but Greenlee refuses. She ends the phone call, and when Jack tries to call back, he finds that she has turned off her phone. He imparts this latest information to his wife. She tries to assure him that he hasn't lost his daughter, but Jack is not so sure. Erica tries to convince him that the move is classic Greenlee - running away from her problems - but Jack thinks that Greenlee's reasons for doing so are solid. Erica goes on to say that he should be happy - Kendall granted him his two fondest wishes: that Greenlee would not have to raise any child of Ryan's, and that Greenlee would be out of Ryan's life for good. While Jack admits that those two things are in the plus column for him, he notes that he is still worried at the outcome. Erica suggests that they not talk about things any further because they had just agreed not to let their children pull them apart. Jack doesn't think it's feasible because Greenlee is out in the world, alone and hurting because of Kendall. This raises Erica's ire some, and she notes that they need to support Kendall through her pregnancy. Jack is concerned that the pregnancy, and the fact that Ryan is the father, isn't bothering Erica. She tells him that those facts aren't what is important - the fact that a new life will be joining the family is. Tartly, Jack tells her to save the soothing speech for her talk show - because the real problem (as far as he is concerned) is that Erica is taking Ryan's side and not acknowledging the damage that Kendall has caused. Infuriated, Erica demands that Jack stop his tirade. Nonplussed, Jack questions whether his wife intends on remaining positive about the pregnancy. Erica says that she refuses to spit on Kendall the way he, Greenlee and Ryan did. Jack thinks that a good "talking to" is in order, but Erica tells him that he is wrong. She reminds him that she learned a lot from her experience with Bianca and Miranda, and says that she will not make the same mistake twice. Jack tells her that the two situations are completely different, and Erica thanks him for pointing that out. She tells him that Ryan is not Michael Cambias, and that the baby Kendall is carrying was created out of love, not violence. Although Jack is inclined to believe Greenlee's versions of events - that Kendall being linked biologically to Ryan's baby instead of Greenlee was a form of payback - Erica is unmoved to his side and goes on to say that the only thing Kendall wanted was for Ryan's child to exist.

After briefly comforting Kendall in the doorway outside of her condo, Zach silently picks up his wife and carries her inside. He closes the door and places her on the couch. Tears flowing, Kendall watches as he covers her with a blanket and follows with a comforting caress. He prepares some warm milk for her, but Kendall slowly comes out of her stupor, suddenly demanding that he leave. Zach won't have any of it, as he is intent on taking care of her. She informs him that Greenlee has left town, but he isn't surprised. He tells her that her former best friend is ungrateful and selfish. Kendall immediately jumps to her defense, noting that Greenlee felt betrayed. Zach asks how Kendall giving Greenlee everything that she wanted could be viewed as betrayal. Kendall mentions that he doesn't like Greenlee or her husband, and that fact gets in the way of him seeing the truth of the situation. Zach corrects her, saying that he has no use for either of them, especially since they can't see the beauty right in front of them. Kendall appears slightly amused by his commentary, as it seems impossible that the man she has never lived with and is currently divorcing acts as though he knows so much about her. He tells her that he understands why she did what she did. She wonders if he believes what the rest of the town believes about her - that she wanted to keep a part of Ryan to herself. Zach tells her that he doesn't care about everyone else's thoughts - only hers. He asks if using her own eggs to create the baby she has growing inside her was a way to get Ryan back. Kendall says that her reasons don't matter, because no one believes her. Zach promises that he will, but she thinks he is like everyone else - believing only what he wants. She tells him to leave, and opens the door to hasten his departure. He closes the door and informs her that he won't go until he says what he needs to say. He starts by saying that he sat at the Valley Inn and watched as she took hit after hit from all of the people who claim to love her. She briefly questions why he didn't stand up for her, and he tells her that it's not what she wanted. He said that what she wanted was a little support from her family and friends. Kendall declares that she has that - but Zach is hard pressed to believe. He says that she repeatedly gets sucked in by Erica and her biased view of Kendall's life and how she should live it. He also notes that she has been slammed by all of the madness in the Lavery family, and all of the anger coming out of Jack because things were beyond his control. Not one of them, Zach goes on to say, sees Kendall for the remarkable woman that she is. Tearing up again, Kendall asks if he can - but he interrupts, saying he isn't done with his confession. Kendall initially doesn't want to hear it, but Zach tells her that she will hear what he has to say. She feigns disinterest, telling him to hurry so that she can go to bed. Slowly, with an almost palpable and bittersweet angst, he tells her that through her actions since they wed, he'd found himself not being able to take his eyes off of her. He confesses that he was amazed by how she always gave 100% of herself to whatever she believed in, and how he had never met anyone like her before. Somewhat stunned, Kendall quietly urges him on. He finally tells her that he loves her - that he has fallen in love with her. Disbelieving, Kendall asks her husband to repeat himself. He does, and then tells her that he wants to keep falling - without end or fear. In an attempt to grasp the enormity of his revelation, she reviews what she knows - that she married a man who hated her and wanted to stick it to his son, a man who was the last person she ever thought she would get involved with - and this is the same man who is standing before her, saying he's in love with her? Zach tells her that he may not be what she wants or needs...especially since he has hurt the people he loves and can't change. However, he tells her, he loves the way he does and he needed to come clean with her. He then moves him and plants a kiss on her - which she returns. They linger there for a moment, and then Kendall breaks it off. She slowly dismantles everything he tells her - saying that many people have told her that they love her, but none of it ended up being true. She reminds him that he admitted that he hurts people - and notes that she would be a fool to open her heart again, just so that he could trample all over it. She goes on to question how the baby she is carrying - who was fathered by a man he hates - would fit into his picture of happily ever after. She sums up her rage by saying that she thinks his admission, and his subsequent desire to move forward as a happy couple, is nothing more than something to throw into the faces of everyone on his hit list. She refuses to let it happen - and demands one final time that he leave. He listens to her quietly, and then says that he told her his feelings because he thought she should know that there was one person in the world that loved and supported her unconditionally. He then tells her that he believes she has feelings for him too. She confirms as much - and then details that the feelings are anger, outrage and disgust. He reflects on her anger for a moment, and then says that although they didn't start out intending for this to happen, his love for her is as real as it gets. She starts to let herself fall in and then pulls abruptly back, saying that she's not his trophy and she wants no part of his twisted version of love. She fairly thanks him for making her horrible day 100 times worse, and quietly tells him to go. When he does, she succumbs to her tears once again.

Amanda shows up at Jamie's apartment, panicked over her confrontation with Babe and JR. She tells him that she isn't responsible for the poisoning at the Chandler Thanksgiving dinner, nor is she responsible for Babe's tumble down the stairs. She begs Jamie to believe her, but before he can reveal where his allegiance lies, a mysterious woman appears in the doorway from the bedroom. As a shocked Amanda takes in the scene, the woman asks if Jamie will be returning to bed. Jamie takes a moment with his lady friend, Gretchen, to get dressed, and then escorts her out with a promise to make it up to her. She kisses him goodbye as Amanda watches, disgusted, and then takes her leave. When the door closes, Jamie tries to calm Amanda down, saying that being in a manic state is not good for her while she is in recovery. Amanda is stunned that he cares, but soon realizes that his care is purely medical. Jamie tells her that she can't go around hurting people and thinking she can get away with it. He goes on to say that he will take her back to the hospital because his grandfather can recommend someone that she can talk to. Horrified that he thinks she needs a shrink, Amanda wrenches herself from his grip, swearing that she isn't crazy and doesn't need that kind of help. Infuriated, she tells him to go to hell and storms out of his apartment.

JR and Babe return to the Chandler Mansion, and after checking in on their son, they revisit the events of the night. As they do, Babe starts to feel faint, and uses the wall to hold herself up. JR tells her that perhaps she should have stayed at the hospital. She shakes it off, saying that she had to be by his side tonight. She starts to crumple again, and at that JR tells her that she will be spending the night in the house. She tells him that she is too tired to argue, and they step into a guest bedroom. Claiming that her hands aren't working, she asks him to unzip her dress so that she can get into bed. As he does, JR is taken aback by the feelings of desire sweeping over him at the sight of his stripped down ex-wife. JR manages to reign himself in, and tucks Babe underneath the covers. He asks her if she is angry with him for not confessing that he was behind the wheel of the car. She tells him that she isn't, and he asks if she regrets taking the rap. She simply says that she made a decision and she plans to stick with it. After a moment of silent gratitude, JR places his hand on hers, and says that he meant it when he declared he wouldn't let anyone hurt her ever again.

Jack suggests that both he and Erica forget all they had talked about for the moment, and just retire for the evening. Erica, unable to get on the same page, sends him home to be with Lily and Reggie. He acquiesces, and leaves her alone in the penthouse. Babe tries to go back to sleep, but when she stirs, she finds Amanda sitting in a chair a few feet away from the bed. Amanda tells Babe she broke up her and Jamie and lied about the soup and stair incident that almost killed her. If she can't have Jamie, she will make sure that Babe does not get JR, Amanda says. JR starts flipping through wads of money to entice Del, but Di interrupts the deal. Del tells his sister that he was just playing JR and had no plans to take the bribe. After Del hands back the money and walks out, Di tells JR not to get more revenge on Babe. She realizes he and Babe have gotten close again, but is confused why he is pushing her away. It would be better for their son if they got along, Di says. JR thinks that if he forgives Babe, she will expect him to forgive her. JR tells Di to go back to pole dancing and leaves. Di calls someone and asks to speak to a woman. When the woman can't come to the phone, she tells the person to give the woman her love.

Adam arrives home with Krystal by his side. Adam threatens to fire Lucretia and Winifred, but Krystal insists he can not do that because the soup was her specialty. Adam thinks that Krystal poisoned the soup to kill him, but she counters she would never do something that would endanger her own daughter's life. Amanda rushes down the stairs, past Krystal and Adam. Babe comes down and tells them that she and JR think Amanda spiked the soup. Krystal agrees and offers for Babe to stay with them until she is safe. Babe does not answer, but instead, questions if her mother is falling for Adam. Krystal claims she despises the man, but her caring actions prove otherwise. Babe goes to her hotel room to collect some things and runs into Del on her way out the door.

Di asks if Tad follows her and he says no. She tells him she is there to apply for a job. Tad tells her that he wants her to get the job so she can help him with something. Di agrees to help once she lands the gig. Tad asks Hazel about making a sperm donation so she agrees to get the proper paperwork. Di hands Hazel her application and tries to market herself, despite her less than large work history. Di leaves, with Tad and her sharing a small bit of respect for each other. Ryan says he is not sure what he is going to do about his child, but now that Greenlee is gone, they don't have to stick around Pine Valley. Jonathan does not want to leave because he considers it his home. He asks to go for a walk alone, which Erin and Ryan are hesitant about because of the shooter. After Jonathan promises to be careful, they let him go get some fresh air. Erin tells Ryan she is sorry about Greenlee and hugs him.
