What's a Daytime Emmy event without the queen of soaps? Fortunately, fans who attend this year's celebration won't have to answer because All My Children's Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane) will be attending the festivities on April 30.
After co-hosting Home & Family's AMC reunion this week, the New York native revealed she will be attending this year's star-studded event.
“There's going to be a tribute to [AMC creator] Agnes Nixon, and they asked me to be a part of that,” she said. “There's absolutely nowhere else in the world I'd want to be that night but right there for the tribute. I'm absolutely thrilled.”
Lucci has had quite a history with the NATAS event honoring daytime television. After 18 nominations and no wins, the actress finally took home an Emmy in 1999. Watch her recall the joyous occasion in this fun video, which also reveals the silly thought she had when Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm Winters, The Young and the Restless) called her name.
